(Little bit of the 69 Eyes and HIM):

Chill out:

Heavier sounds with melody:

In Your Face:

And IMO the most KICKASS Finnish vocals song ever:

And someone's youtube translation:

At night someone is changing names of our local shops
Mothers giving birth to childs, whose words we dont understand
Who is sneaking away from the Finnish-maidens fence
Maiden's, which lains are forever frozen

And maidens guy, Jussi, is standing alone at the edge of marsh
Mattock has fallen, booger is dropping down
Man doens't know, what to do, where to go now
He's freezing cold, like inside me

[2x Chorus]

But I am and living and breathing
One big god; zest for life
It temples are pubs and brothels
Markets, shops, lights of citys

I'm watching through window, not seeing joy in here
Blown up sandboxes, messy local pubs
From where single parents get their one night stands
Who then leaves in the morning before childs woke up

Give me your hand, give promise from tomorrow
Promise, that im not left alone in this cold life
To this day, where sounds of rugged statues echos
Where living ones are walking, searching place to rest in peace

[2x Chorus]

So beautiful is the crescent of the moon
So fresh is the falls aura after rain

[2x]
Who is in command? Who is the one to obey?
Two mighty gods; greed and money
Of which temples are stocks and brothels
Markets, shops, lights of citys

[Chorus]
But I am and living and breathing
One big god; zest for life
It temples are pubs and brothels
Markets, shops, lights of citys

YAARRRRRRRRHHGHHHHHH! =D

Kotiteollisuus sucks ... Their every song sounds the same.

EDIT: And yeah if you like progressive rock you will definitely love Kingston Wall. All their albums are pure gold.

This is such a great song that it deserves a full version. And while we're at it, let's add some more Tehosekoitin hits:

I really do hate that song, it just sucks. Tehosekoitin is an alright band, but I hate that song. The reason being that the chorus is horrible, otherwise the song is ok but I just hate the chorus for some reason. :shakehead

In that case we both agree that Kaikki Nuoret Tyypit is OK except for the chorus. I also know others who share your opinion on the chorus. But for me it's actually by far the best part of the whole song!

Jean Sibelius, greatest Finn ever, best Nordic classical composer of all time and a pure genious.

I also like early Finnish death metal like Demilich and Demigod, as well as black metal like Beherit and Behexen, but nowadays, barring a few exceptions, Finland are world leaders in churning out over-polished crap metal.

No I'd say Sweden is a close #2 nowadays when it comes to putting out over-polished crap metal, with stuff like Hammerfall, In Flames, Soilwork and Sonic Syndicate as the most awful ones. However, Finland in my opinion is even worse in this regard, with bands such as Stratovarious, Nightwish, Children Of Bodom, Sonata Arctica, Korpiklaani, Finntroll etc.
The best Finnish metal I rank among the tops of metal as a whole though (amazing in the early 90s, and for example some bands like Hooded Menace and Reverend Bizarre nowadays), it's just that I often have to wade through so much awful stuff to get to it .

OMG the swedes are here again even in music topic, telling their opinions that finnish music aint so good and so on.. What a pain in my ass you swedes allways are! :D This was just a joke now lets get on!

Old one, but still playing on arenas.

To Bring something different on this topic again. This song actually made in to some top lists in US and Sweden (and finnish ofc) according to foreign YT comments on other Elastinen video. True or not works for me. And for the metal fans who'll come **** around i love metal. Im not hater of any genre. Even classic is cool, sibelius rocks :P

These are just some of the most played Finnish artists/songs on Finland's most popular national "youth radio station" YleX (meaning I hear them way too often at work):

Btw, here's their song from the Alan Wake video game:

Kemopetrol's Laura Närhi has gone to solo career:

Fireal - Halo (Soundtrack song for very promising looking movie: Harjunpää ja Pahan Pappi)

And IMO this song should have been a hit world wide:
