The LA Kings have assigned forward Mario Kempe and defenseman Paul LaDue to Ontario (AHL) after clearing waivers this morning, and designated defenseman Derek Forbort as injured/non-roster.
With these moves, the Kings are now at 23 players on their active roster.

I had been wondering if I’d missed a demotion or if he was quietly blowing away Wings’ management or something.

Patrick and Welinski will probably start the season on LTIR for the Flyers.

EDIT - on second thought....

If they demote Twarysnki and Myers, they could get down to $81,365,356 with a 23 man roster (13 F, 8D, 2 G), although three of them are on IR so it's really a 20 man roster.

G-C-TK
Lindblom-Hayes-Voracek
JVR-Laughton-Farabee
Raffl-Bunnaman-Pitlick(IR)
Patrick(IR)

Provorov-Niskanen
Ghost-Braun
Hagg-Sanheim
Morin-Welinski(IR)

Hart
Elliott

Then activate Pitlick off IR to be the 12th forward on Friday.

I hate that Marincin made the opening night roster.
its nbd to have him as your spare dman like every other year since he left the oilers.

let the prospects play in whatever leagues and call guys up when there are openings

Do some teams have to make moves to get under the cap by 5 pm? I'm thinking Pittsburgh is one.
