I didn't think that was that bad for his standards. Usually he lets out the most flattest ''Score'' when the other team scores or wins it in OT.

His predecessor (who I believe they've moved to radio) was/is the same exact way.

And the color commentator that replaced Peter McNab is BRUTAL. Guy is a failed comedian.

I can't even stand him when watching goal videos while doing my goal reviews. I find myself telling him ''Shut the f*** up'' even on a 45 second clip. I could never stomach an entire game with this guy.
I wonder who would be worse?

Him or Dennis Miller? :sarcasm:

I was more amused by his utter shock that the Coyotes scored in OT, even though there was total chaos at the Avs’ goal mouth and Georgiev was all over the place.

I didn’t know much about the game, I was out last night. I just looked at the box and saw that the Coyotes scored 5 unanswered goals (!) to win 5-4, so I know the context of his disbelief more now.

Montreal ties up the Canes after 1 by scoring with 4 seconds left. How I hate the Canes, even more than the Rangers. Carolina has to be as boring, untalented, and unwatchable team as there is in the league. A team “that only a mother could love.” They play the kind of hockey that could give the sport a bad name.

Unfortunately I do notice that Svetchnikov looks like he’s finally shaken off the effects of his knee surgery and is playing in pre injury form again. The one forward on that club who rises above common level and a gifted player. I don’t get all the fuss over Aho. A good center but not a game changer. But Svetchnikov is elite at what he does.

Raanta stinks

f*** this guy. He’s been done ever since he choked the last two games away against the Rangers in 2022. Especially that game 6 at MSG.

Worthless wraparound goal to tie it with 4 seconds left.

Marty Biron on the Canadiens/TSN feed calling him out during the intermission and saying a .750% isn’t good enough and you won’t stay in the league long if you can’t bring it up lol.

Looks like the Flyers are the real deal and the Canes are back. I see the Islanders falling out of the top three. We need to go on winning streak to stay relevant. Need a big win against the Sens tonight.

Kid's not gonna last long if he keeps getting hit like that.

Noesen should miss 2 to 5 games for that one. Got the elbow up and took a shot at his head. Regrettable.

Noesen was always a decent guy who had paid his dues. Why do they do it? Like Carrick on Nico. It just seems they get juiced and act on impulse. But the game MUST eliminate this shit.

The Flyers are the Canes embryo in how they try to play. That’s the plan and unfortunately it works. “Unfortunately” not because we have to play them. But because we have to watch them play. It’s a boring and meaningless style of hockey enough to make me want me watch college basketball instead. Just dreadfully unentertaining

The point of contact is the shoulder.

Yeah he raised his arm which looked like it was the elbow but slaf collided with his shoulder first.

Why does it feel like in international competition every time Canada is down late they get rescued by penalty calls?

Wow, overturned, no penalty. That's surprising.

Not how I see it. But the league will sort it out. If I make contact with your shoulder first and then raise my arm and follow through intentionally to hit you in the jaw, point of first contact makes no difference to my intent.

The league will interview the people and look at the angles and make its determination.

I am aware that in my example above I have assumed the ill intent. And here the intent must be in part inferred from the actions. So my argument is inconclusive.

But anyway I don’t like that hit at all. I don’t like hits like that period and I want them out of the game. It shouldn’t be a contest to see if you can concuss someone like that legally or not. But if the rules say it’s okay then that’s what they say.

I'd like to see side-by-side comparisons on what is or isn't a clean open-ice hit so I can better understand what you are seeing as opposed to what I'm seeing.
