I think the Arizona offer is probably going to end up being a fair offer for what he's going to get offered on the open market. I think Friedman reported they offered like 7.25 for 5 years. He may top out at 8, but I think the ball park is right. Hard to believe there was a time where most people thought he was going to get 10-11.

I don't know that there's really anything to award. I've been kind of hoping that they would look at the loss of value due to covid and just randomly give us a compensatory second round pick at the end of the round to sort of compensate us, but I think that is probably even highly unlikely.

Let’s be honest here, despite a pretty solid roster, you’re not going anywhere if you don’t have a goaltender. The Preds had the worst combo of goaltenders entering this gimmick of a playoffs and it showed right away.

Hynes not using his best players over grinders was a monumental mistake as well.
