Hawks can just buy him out and only have him count for 600k rather than retain for 1+ million or add assets lmao @ the attaching assets people
If that's the case, then the Hawks would just buy him out. His buyout is 680k so they'd be willing to retain a little more to not have the extra two years of dead cap. They wouldn't retain more than $1M though.Chi will very likely need to take some cap back to move him and they likely wouldn't get anything of value for him at this point. Many team wont have a lot of cap to operate with and OM doesn't bring enough to justify the problems the cap could cause. Even for teams with a lot of space there will be better options available elsewhere for teams looking to make room.

I hope Yzerman kicks tires on getting him for essentially free/ close to free
abdelkader and The Mule’s contract for seabrook maata, Dach and Boqvist

Hmmmm it sure you watching the right player ....he was OK at best..rock solid is a bit of a stretch....He's completely tradeable. Not asset attached and no retention or salary coming back. He was rock solid this year.
Didn’t Cancer kinda ruin his development?
Only on HFBoards does a guy who was traded for value a year ago go to negative value after having a completely normal season for his standards.

The Jets should take a crack at him if possible.
