Didn't see a thread for it. But the schedule has been released league wide. Bolded is home games.

Season starts Thursday, October 9 at home against the Flames. Play the Canucks 4 times in the first 19 games and then not again until the final game of the season.

Edit:

This link has the more traditional break down:
http://oilers.nhl.com/club/schedule.htm

The first one doesn't list two games at the end of December until after the April games, so a little confusing. But it has a breakdown of home games, and what dates we play each team and what not.

Sweet, a 7 game home-stand after game 4 of the season. That could give the guys a good start and some confidence for the rest of the season. I hope.

Only 11 back to back. Not too bad.

We play Anahiem the least out of our division, only 4 times, vs 5 for everyone else.

First year I've ever seen as an Oiler fan where the schedule looks really favorable for us.

As always I'm interested to see the breakdown for teams that play in Edmonton/Calgary one night and then the other city the next. To a lesser extent Vancouver as well.

8 of the first 11 and 13 of the first 21 games at home. There's also a stretch in Jan-Feb where we play 12 of 15 on the road. That could be the make or break point.

I think the make or break point is going to be the summer. Schedule doesn't really matter if your team is missing big pieces.

I like it. One 6 game road trip, two 5 game road trips, one 4 game road trip. Only one really rough stretch from Jan 13th to Feb 16th where we'll play 15 games in 35 days, 12 of them on the road. But as already mentioned, a very good opportunity to get off to a good start and build some confidence. That can be huge for a young team.

So how many times does Calgary get a team on the second half of a back-to-back this year?

The heavy home schedule in October should work in our favour.

This is the trend I tend to find when it comes to Oilers schedules.

Seasons starting with a home heavy schedule early on usually correlates with how well the Oilers start off the season.

2013-14 as I recall was road heavy early on.

If this team can manage a good start, we have a shot at doing somewhat decent this season...hopefully, fingers crossed.
