I feel like our PK looks better in the ozone more often than our PP. They also get better entries too.


Time to fire or relegate Woodcroft to a different thing. Get Ralph Krueger to coach the PP by skype, it would probably be better.

I'm scared of getting on the coach-hate wagon. So scared.

But your post reminded me of a point I was afraid to make. Why does the PK look dangerous on zone entries? Probably because they have to press and don't have the dump and chase option. Maybe that wasn't your point....who cares? My point is that I heard there was an analytics guy who did a study on zone entries. The basis being that carrying the puck into the zone vs. dumping the puck into the zone was more likely to lead to a scoring chance....I think by a wide margin. (of course there is a bunch of other stuff going on here)

Long story short, though -- McLellan's Sharks were dead last in carrying the puck in. I don't think it was close.

Just embrace apathy. A friend invited me to play video games and that seemed like a much better plan than watching the flopping fish known as the Oilers flip around aimlessly in the boat that is the NHL.

I do have a Playstation I never use - maybe i need to buy more video games. Never thought of that before.

The power play stinks, but lets be honest here, I doubt they're being coached to make bad passes and boneheaded plays. The players need to be better. It's that simple.

McDavid Lander Nuge and Hendricks all have better PPfaceoff % then Letestu they have not have had as many draws but really no need for him. I would rather see Hendricks at least he would be a net presence and can win dump in battles. the play dies with letestu all the time.

For anyone wondering, Letestu has a career PPG just under.4. That's an NHL'er.

Letestu is an NHL'er, no doubt. And I think he does his job on this team. He just shouldn't be on the PP for anything other than taking the faceoff, and racing to the bench.

Seriously. When he's on your first PP unit...There is a big problem. It's not helping anyone to have someone with no shot, and no hands on the PP. I believe he's scored more on the PK this season than on the PP, and he gets nearly the most PP time on the team.

I would tend to agree. I get the idea of putting a faceoff specialist out there, but ****, just let Connor take the draw. Work on his damn faceoffs, and we're good to go. And it's not like we can maintain possession in there anyway, nor can we even gain the zone on a PP. **** it man, live or die by the McJesus.
