Sigh...you're not going to get Lindholm for fair value. What it would cost is going to be way more than what his actual value is. The reasons are in the post you just quoted. Not trying to get into the value vs cost discussion again. That's literally been repeated ad nauseam for the first 3 pages of the thread.
... and you’re not getting a prime Lidstrom return for a one 3rd place Norris Trophy vote getter... ever or from anyone.

Lindholm isn't nearly good enough offensively to do a deal like this. A 20-30 point defenseman who can transition the puck and play excellent defense is what Nurse projects to be so why would we gut the offence more just to add another guy who is too similar to the people we already have.

And I'm not expecting to. This trade never happens because it makes no sense for either team. Ducks have no reason to take anything short of a kings ransom and Oilers have no reason to pay it.

Just to clarify, are you saying that out of your current prospect/young D group, that you have multiple D that are =/+ Lindholm? That would be VERY impressive.

Not what I said I said similar players. We have similar players (maybe not as good) in Larsson and Nurse and we are going to take away from our piss poor forward depth to add another d man who doesn't have enough offence in his game to be a guy capable of putting up 50 pts a year and qb the pp.

“Project” or “projecting” is a lose term that gets used redundantly often on these boards. Until proven otherwise they are merely just another defenseman or forward. Just food for thought.
