I have pretty much zero faith in Dubnyk.

Every shot from the Jets made me nervous, especially after he let a few in. It's gonna be a hard game to watch until it's obvious he's settled in (if in fact he does)

Hopefully he can bounce back starting here.

And just when you can relax a little when he settles in, that's when he lets in another softie.

Canucks are a not a team to fear anymore. They arent deep like they use to be. They're PP went downhill when they lost their specialist in Ehrhoff, they dont have center depth like they use to either, its Sedin-Kesler-Richardson-X. Thats terrible depth.

They are a one line team now, where the Sedin line has to carry the offense. Kesler isnt the 40G Selke guy they thought he was, and they're scoring depth from the bottom 9 becomes pretty pathetic.

They're defense is still deep but guys like Bieksa and Edler are prone to conistant gaffes.

Goaltending has Luongo, who I admit is still pretty good, but after him its Eddy Lack an untested rookie.

Add the all this the fact that they hired Tortarella who is known as of late for his putrid shot block heavy/offense later system, the Canucks are going to be fighting for a spot in the playoffs this year.

Oh ya, Sedins kill penalties now. Imagine one go down with injuries after shot blocks: /season

I'd take their C depth over ours any day
They still have the better team imo but their window is closing rapidly

How is that terrible center depth? A 1a and 1b center and a decent 3rd line center? If that's terrible depth, we must have ECHL center depth - oh wait, we do.

Regarding Dubnyk - from an Oiler perspective, I think they'd feel pretty comfortable with him going against the Canucks. I've always felt like he plays us well and decided to check his career numbers vs. the Canucks:

13GP, 5W, 4L, 3OTL, 2.20GAA, .928SVP, 2SO

He usually gives the Canucks a pretty hard time, IMO.

Really? Kelser a #1 center?

Hah. Maybe a few years ago. Now he's a shell. I'd take Gagner over him if it wasn't for his nastiness.

Then runs up the stairs and throws Kassian out of the press box.

Maybe that's why Hamilton is recalled, he plays instead of Gazdic and Gazdic goes and finds Kassian in the press box lol

If that's the case, strap on a GoPro Hero 3 Camera on his head and record it for all the viewers to watch. Then we send in our best hackers in Edmonton and hack the jumbotron in Vancouver and show Gazdic pummeling Kassian then throwing him from the press box. Then we do some Killer Whale hunting. Then.....THE WORLD :naughty::help:

4-1 Oilers

Dubnyk has a solid game, the 1 goal is a PP goal that he doesn't stand a chance on.

The game lacks any retaliatory violence, Weise and Brown fight and that's it. Though Perron does run Loungo midway through the 3rd which causes some scuffling. Oh Bieksa gets a whack in on Eberle that doesn't get called... but only one whack from Bieksa, that's a record low for him.

Goals scored by Yakupov, Belov, Hall, and Arcobello

I'm going to predict another Oilers loss. Vancouver is far superior team compared to the Jets, plus we're on the road and Vancouver will be hungry after their recent loss. Combined with missing our two best centers, I don't see a win.

3-2 Vancouver. Yakupov & Perron get the goals.

Since we're making all of our judgements on 1-2 games... the Jets are beating the Kings right now 4-1...

With our logic on here... the Jets are one of the top teams then. So we should have no problem against a lowly team like Vancouver who lost 4-1 to the sharks

I won't be here for this one.

I got a call from the OKC Barons office. I'm going to be at centre ice tomorrow night as a semifinalist with a chance to win a pickup truck. :yo:

You'll win it. Rest of the people called probably didn't answer or already got nice new pickup trucks :sarcasm: Congratulations in advance.

I shudder at the thought of how badly Kesler will school Hall in their matchup. Can't wait to get him back to LW where he belongs.

It will be an interesting test for Hall if that is the match up Torts goes for. He's a better hockey player than Kesler and Kesler is a shadow of his former self. The only edge he has going for him is that he is a natural center.

Hall will be fine.

Hall doesn't get pushed around like Gagner does and is halfway decent on the dot. I guess we'll see. It sounds like Eakins wants to go Nuge-Hall as the 1/2.
