My thing with Jones is that at least he owns being a troll

I’ll never listen to him (or anybody else on sports radio for that matter) but I respect the fact he doesn’t pee on ppls legs and tell them it’s raining

I’ve hated Jones for a long time and I have to say I hate him a little less after seeing him today

We are giving accolades to a troll for being a troll?

Christ...

I stated that I respect the fact he doesn’t hide what he is like many in Boston media

I also said I wouldn’t listen to him. Get your knickers out of a bunch cranky pants

Funny that you don’t like trolls...
Funny I don’t like trolls? That’s a bad thing?

Adam Jones is crap, period.

Hell baby
never said he wasn’t! You’re awfully mad at an innocuous comment where I said I’d never listen to him. He doesn’t play charades. That’s all. Not much of controversial statement

He’s a turd calling himself a turd instead of a turd calling himself a rainbow

WEEI radiotower is located in Needham heh? Random but I never knew that.

AM 850 is in Needham - 3 tall towers

weei-towers.jpg

When built after World War II they were the tallest structures in New England
Would you believe these towers are 608, 650 and 568 feet tall?

I had noticed the towers on satellite view since I'm landscaping the solar field right next to them this week.

I like to think I'm a cultured, educated person, but Toucher and Rich's segment on Antonio Brown farting was one of the best things I've heard all year

Could see them blinking from my childhood home in JP every night since I can remember.

The old WHDH-AM upgraded to 50,000 watts after World War II and because of that became the home of the Red Sox and Bruins in 1947 and a few years later the Celtics. The transmitter was built in then rural Needham as they were not allowed to beam a signal west at night to protect a station in Denver, Colorado.

The station ceased to exist in 1994 when WEEI moved to 850 from 590.

When I was young this jingle made me smile :)

It had quite a history - the legendary Bob and Ray worked there before hitting it big in New York

and of course Jess Cain who could do bits like this on the fly

WHDH 850 Boston - Jess Cain - June 1984

I remember that first jingle well, but it was "Here's Ken Coleman standing by,the voice of the Red Sox,a real nice guy."
