Congrats on both teams making the playoffs and if this series happens, it should be very interesting. Was curious what your perspectives on this match up... do you feel very confident?

There were different opinions on our board in a similar thread, so I;d like to see your opinions. :)

The guy who wrote that post on your board said **** ottawa in here.

Not sure if I have this right but

Habs play Sens if:

MTL wins against TOR, DET beat CAR
MTL loses to TOR, TB beats Boston, CAR beat DET
MTL loses to TOR in OT/SO, TB loses to Boston, DET beat CAR

Habs don't play Sens if:

MTL wins against TOR, CAR beats DET
MTL loses to TOR, TB beats Boston, DET beats CAR
MTL loses in OT/SO, TB loses to Boston, CAR beat DET

So we have more chances of not playing the Hens if we lose?

Detroit or Pittsburgh would be ideal for Montreal. Wouldn't want to face the surging Sens in the first round. That being said, I think it is very possible that the Sens crumble in the playoffs.

Call me weird, but I'd like us to face Ottawa on 1st round, if we can manage to beat 'em, it will be an absolutely great moral boost for us, I mean, we'd beat an ever advancing team throughout the end of the season, mostly because of a 'red hot' goalie, and a literal 'pest' to us.

Could be emotionally draining too, but should really be exciting...

And anyway, I hope Boston don't make the playoffs, simply to see them implode. (could also say the same about the Pens, honestly)

Physically, we'd be spent. Just like against Boston.

i've Watch the sens-flyers game this afternoon and from what i've seen i'm confident facing hamburglar... guy gives rebounds after rebounds reminds me of halak or tokarski... this series could be a quick one (4-5 games).... but it could be a quick one for sens also... depending how MT coach... Well to be honest, both Canes and Detroit don't really care about tonight.

Canes might have a shot, they are at home and the Wings are resting their top guys.

This is Detroit's lineup

Nyquist-Sheahan-Weiss
Tatar-Helm-Jurco
Cleary-Andersson-Pulkkien
Miller-Glendening-Ferraro

Kindl-Ericsson
DeKeyser-Marchenko
Quincey-Zidlicky

What IF: we win in regulation time, Boston wins AND CAR win? HAHA!

The sens are definitely the biggest wildcard....the team is just hot and loose and can just play that rope a dope style that can go either way...its really a gamble taking them on...i would much rather a different opponent but at the same time i am very happy its them and not boston hahah bruins:p:

Can't be as we cannot face BOS or NYI no matter what happens the rest of the way.

EDIT: See here http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NHL/Eastern.html

EDIT2: I see where you took those from. It looks like that page hasn't been updated in some time.
