He's a 6/7 playing as a 4 and getting his face caved in playing that role. He was fine as a 3rd pairing with easy matchups, excelled even. If you have an opening as a #6 in Buffalo he'd fit in well albeit overpaid.

He's a really good 3rd pairing guy, but at this point in time, he's expensive and he's hard to pair properly. McDonald, Petrovic and Weegar can all play the third line decently well enough for Pysyk to be rather useless on the team.
Don't get him expecting him to play on the second pair, we've tried and it didn't work and I wouldn't solely place the blame on who he was paired with or who his center was.

Well, don't go to the Toronto fans, they're going to ask for the moon. And realistically, I can't see giving up something that won't hurt us more than help in the long run.

They wouldn't, their front office is too much into advanced stats to take a guy like Ekblad.

Doesn't make sense. If we're giving up Huberdeau, I would prefer a defenseman like Trouba.

Huberdeau for Trouba (Trouba should get similar deal, slightly more than Huberdeau) so money works.
Sign Panarin as UFA.
Somehow pry Quick or another starting goalie with 1st + prospect + Reimer.
All these deals done this offseason.
Unload Pysyk and Bjugstad to free up additional cap.

Skimming their boards they are frustrated with their C depth but they have Scheif and Little locked up long term and than Roslovic developing as 3C on the go.
They have Ehlers and Connor on LW so you bring up a valid point. Their RW is set for a bit with Wheeler and Laine.
Huberdeau + one of our better LHD prospects? Thoughts?
Edit - hasn't Trouba made it known he wants to play in the US next year? So this may force WPG's hand a bit no?

I don’t see Winnipeg giving up trouba for a winger especially when they’re already strong up front.
