What's really hard to stomach is of we miss the playoffs and can't re-sign Hall there is no way that this teams roster will look as good on paper next year as it does right now. There will be much less to be excited about going into next season. We also go back to a directionless team. Are we still building? Are we trying to contend? That can be a dangerous spot to be in.

That's a dangerous spot to get yourself into. The Coyotes were already moving in the right direction before giving up draft picks and a prospect for Hall. I'm thankful Jenik or Maccelli weren't involved. Hopefully Chayka can get a 1st rounder back for him at the deadline and learned a lesson from this.

Hey Ducks fan coming in peace.

Are the Coyotes going to have to dump someone like Stepan in the offseason to make room for signing Hall?

If Hall wants to sign in AZ we likely have to move a salary. Top of the list to be moved would be the last year of Hossa’s contract which only costs about $200K in real $ (after insurance). Detroit and Ottawa are two places that might be actively interested.

Don’t think there’s any way it would ever happen but I would be kind of intrigued by straight up two for two swap of OEL and Keller for Nylander and Barrie.

Dvorak-Schmaltz-Nylander
Hall-Hayton-Garland
Hinostroza-Stepan-Kessel
Crouse-Soderberg-Fischer

Chychrun-Demers
Hammer-Barrie
Goligoski-Oesterle

Barrie is a free agent.

It's the biggest one for sure.
If Barrie goes to market then the trade quickly becomes Keller and OEL for Nylander.
Not going to be a popular opinion but I would highly doubt the Leafs would do that deal. Nylander is so much better than Keller and has a decent contract. OEL is losing value by the month and plays the wrong side, everyone has good LD.

His ask might be.
Break down the suggestion. If the Leafs signed Barrie for anything under $8 million, they would have Barrie , a RD, and Nylander for less money than OEL and Keller. Which two would you pick?

No, 'cause Hall is going to sign with a team with a way better chance to win the Cup. Sadly.

Interesting. Possible change imminent?
No. It’s a “team” meeting. Not a media meeting.

It’s just going to be Ace leaders like OEL, Kessel, Stepan and Goligoski telling everyone not to worry about anything:

“It’s all going to be fine. Remember; you don’t even get paid in the playoffs. It’s just extra games. Conversely, you can take a period off every game, and your pay doesn’t get docked or anything. It’s just good, solid financial thinking. Besides, if you go hard, you could get hurt. Nobody wants to see a guy get hurt. Just chill out and go easy.”

Maybe the owner is getting involved. Wants answers. The truth is, our coaching staff have never had success as a HC in the NHL. They were available for a reason. It's hard enough to win with good coaches let alone our group.

Is it a players meeting, or a team meeting as in coaches and owner? I would think it's a players meeting as well, because I don't think they would make a ownership, management meeting public.
