Just wanted to say to the poster in the last thread that it's unfair to set Perreault's career as a benchmark for a prospect, no matter how highly regarded they are.

These guys are under enough pressure with teams tanking for them and all the hype, let's not put any more unnecessary weight on their shoulders.

You have to consider it was a different game in '75, and that was the expansion season for Atlanta. They were destined to be awful.

To be fair we should only consider the post-lockout era, of which we already were the worst team (last year) and we are combating our own awfulness for worse-worst team.

Toronto on their way to 11 straight losses. Columbus will pass them next week after they win tonight. I think Carolina passes them as well. Buffalo, Edmonton, Arizona and Toronto as the bottom 4.

More I watch Toronto the more I think they could actually finish with fewer points than Arizona. They're awful and most of it looks like coaching. No structure or emotion at all. And David Clarkson is like a forward version of Mez/Benoit. He can't get out of the way of his teammates or anyone for that matter. He water skis off people around the ice.

So after being abused by all fans of other teams for months we have reached the point where half of them now openly root for their own teams to fail and the other half couldn't care less since they are playing meaningful hockey.

Looking forward to those new tanking fans turning on us again because they don't catch us.
