regarding the authentics, don't worry - the Edge 2.0's will be arriving within a month I am told by two different reputable dealers.

Currently the "Indo Edge" authentics are showing up on Ebay but I'd definitely advise against buying those.

And yes, the replicas are nice for those that can't afford to or who choose not to drop almost $400 on an authentic, but I am definitely not a fan and would rather save my money to be honest.

I think I would hold off on a Hornqvist jersey.. I have a feeling starting next season he'll switch to #27 after Adams is gone.

Doesn't bother me. I always liked higher numbers anyway.

I'm debating between Hornqvist and Maatta, like a few others. Despres may still be an option, but I'm not convinced he's sticking around yet.

I prefer to spend my Pens gear money on hoodies. I just don't find enough excuses to wear a jersey enough to justify the price.

Maybe its the picture, but the material doesn't look heavy like a hockey jersey is usually made. It looks a bit thin.

I only asked because I didn't really like this one so I was hoping you maybe had a link to a better one, lol.

For those interested, you can now find the real deal legit Edge 2.0's on Ebay. They are pricy but you probably won't see these show up many places this year.

If you can splurge for the Indo-Edge's you should consider spending the extra $50-75 to get the 7287 Edge jerseys which is a better jersey.

In 1994, the NHL was in the early stages of formulating its original Third Jersey Program — an initiative that brought about the likes of the Burger King and Wild Wing jerseys.

The jerseys you see above and below were "finalists to become the new third jersey," according to the site. They were designed by Vance Wright Adams — the firm that gave the world the "Robo Penguin" or "pigeon" logo in 1992.

"The designs were nearly submitted to the NHL for approval," the site says, "but the league’s labor dispute ultimately canceled the project."
