The book was inspired by a stay at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, but the exterior shot of the Overlook Hotel is the Timberline Lodge at Mt Hood. Been inside both, but never been able to get a room at either since I don't plan ahead well enough. Both kinda pricey anyways.

I'd like to go see the town in "Stand by Me", Brownsville, OR. The train scene was filmed in California, but most of the buildings in the town scene are still there. Not worth a trip just for that, but probably staying there the next time I drive to California.

Cards in general. Ever since covid, the card prices have skyrocketed. People were buying everything they could to sell on ebay and what not. Its gotten so bad that Target has stopped carrying them in store. Card grading sites like PSA and Beckett aren't even taking any orders they are so backed up
