M&Ms really blew it on the whole ET thing.
We break off part of our aloe plant that grows next to the pool.I burned my pointer finger making food tonight and it hurts like hell. Aside from a cold washcloth, anyone have any tips on getting a burn to go away?
ET is horrifying
Is NOTHING sacred anymore?
ET is horrifying
I just got the PS4 Black Friday bundle Thursday night. Walmart opened at midnight so that’s when I got on the long line. I was in and out in 10 minutes. I thought I would be waiting in slower lines but it was a pretty good first Black Friday experience.
I’ve played a couple hours of God of War, it’s so good so far. My first real modern action adventure game and it’s pretty unreal how good everything is from gameplay to the story. I think I’ll stick with PlayStation and Nintendo in the future.
The bundle came with God of War, Horizon and Last of Us plus the slim for $200. Great deal. I’m going to pick up Witcher, Spider Man and Fallen Order eventually.I was a big fan of the X360 but this generation I saw absolutely zero reason to purchase an Xbox One, just didn't really have interesting exclusives. Some other fantastic games you could get on the cheap now are Spiderman and Horizon Zero Dawn.
The kids across the street got the ET game first so we played it there and that was it.My mom took my brother and I to see it at the movies when it came out. I didn’t care for it then, and to date that was the only time I’ve ever watched it.
On a related note, the ET Atari 2600 game is considered to be one of the WORST video games ever, and I was the only person I knew who could beat it.
If I hated the movie, why did I have the video game, you ask? Great question. For some reason, mom loved the movie and mistakenly thought my brother and I did as well. When she saw the game on markdown at Toys R Us, she snatched it up for us.
Mom always meant well
Serious suggestion to those here who like to go out, enjoy a meal or have a few beverages.
Try to be thoughtful when it comes to scents like perfumes/colognes and also when it comes to bringing flowers into a restaurant if you happen to be celebrating something. The acute allergies some have now can lead to a very serious situation as it did last night in the restaurant I work at.
I have horrific allergies myself and cringe when a guest brings in flowers, it doesn`t matter if I happen to be serving a table who brought them or not.
Anyways, I was serving a party of 10 gents and a few of them smelled like they literally took a bath in cologne and a woman a few tables away within about a half an hour of them sitting down went into a full blown allergy reaction which required her husband to administer her Epi pen.
I understand that this may seem like a rare case but you would be surprised how many have environmental allergies and some of those, such as last night, are literally life threatening.
As for flowers, same thing, I have horrible reactions to flowers but my symptoms are usually having a million sneezes which then leads to difficulties breathing, I too have an Epi pen with me at all times as I also have a severe shellfish allergy and working in the biz I do, I need to make sure I am protected but again, please be aware of others when heading out and not shower yourself too much in perfume`s and/or colognes.
It made for an awkward situation as the Manager needed to ask my guests to leave which wasn`t ideal but the smell coming from my table was detectable all over our restaurant which isn`t very big
I hate those. My opinion is keeping you're area of living clean means you don't need one to begin with.I am in complete agreement. No allergies but any strong smells no matter how pleasant they might be, usually trigger really bad headaches for me. I had to shut off a friends febreze sprayer last night in his basement cuz we were hanging out and i couldn’t even handle a spritz of the vanilla scent every 36 minutes. It kills me.
Essential oils are another problem. I don't mind them but some are worse than others and can set off some bad reactions.Serious suggestion to those here who like to go out, enjoy a meal or have a few beverages.

I like the smell of fresh cut grass. Reminds me of summertime in Maryland, growing up. The fact that I haven't had to cut grass since I left Maryland in the early 90s may be a reason why I still like that particular smell.Practical advice: Ask a friend who's not a roommate if the amount of cologne/perfume you've put on is too much. You really can go noseblind (ironically, a term used by Febreeze) to the stuff. Fortunately for me, when I smell the stuff, all that happens to me is a sneeze or three and some temporary congestion that goes away pretty quickly after eliminating the exposure, but I get that the reactions of others may be significantly more violent.
I cannot stand any kind of artificially scented stuff. Febreeze, pine fresheners in cars, strong perfumes, weird dish soaps/laundry detergents, even most flowers - they all smell awful to me. I will never understand how people can like the smell of freshly cut grass...doesn't trigger any allergies in me, just don't happen to like it. Now, cook a nice steak on the BBQ, and that's a smell I like!
