I don't think he stinks, but he's a stopgap lineman. He's good as a backup who you can rely on to start in a pinch, but you don't necessarily want him as a long-term starter.

The great thing for the Patriots is that teams continue to overpay for their free agents, and you'll continue to reap the benefits of comp picks. Of all the free agents the Patriots have lost recently, the only re-do I'd like is Akiem Hicks. Every other contract was an overpay I wouldn't have touched or a player I just had zero interest in having back.

Don't get me wrong, I like Van Noy and Collins, but both are getting paid off their performances of the first half of last season, and I'm not giving them contracts close to what they got.
