That defense needs to be overhauled properly. It’s early days but Barrie and Ceci don’t look like they’re the answer. And Rielly has been terrible. Needs to be insulated better.

Barrie is a good dman but he was never gonna be the answer. The Leafs needed a steady well-rounded right-sided version of Jake Muzzin, not a better version of Jake Gardiner which they already had last year in Rielly.

This is where a big hit can draw some energy. We just don’t have any other layers to our team besides offence. When our offense doesn’t score at will we lose. We have the odd games where Andersen stands on his head but the team D is just garbage

Caps are looking for their 1st home win. At some point we gotta give them credit for sticking with it. They're playing a helluva game. Total domination. Yet, only down by 2. It's still a game.

Good luck to you. This team has no heart, no soul, a coach that couldn't coach a kid out of an unlocked bathroom and a general manager that's the laughing stock of the league and gave away the farm to a bunch of unproven youngsters. They'll be lucky to make the playoffs. Oh ya, I forgot, a goalie that can't stop balloons.

Matthews and Marner are unproven? Andersen can't stop a balloon? Give me a break.

Just chill. It's the second week of the season.

For me the rhetoric about puck possession is asinine when you don’t have a crew that can recover it. Yes Barrie is a fantastic talent but he doesn’t seem to be able to bring that steady all situation defending.

They need to ban the stick check flybys. In certain situations you absolutely are required to finish the hit and recover that puck.
