Leafs get the cap space they needed and a guy who may end up being a decent winger in the bottom six. If not still a needed move.

No aj just never had the type of value, that was claimed.
He’s a solid middle 6 forward coming off injury, most teams have players that can fill that role internally. Aj to devils makes a lot of sense tho

Johnsson is a good player. Not a cap dump. Regardless of what the Leafs get back, Devils are getting a good player here.

Not saying he's a cap dump, but he was a half PPG player while playing almost exclusively with Matthews both 5 on 5 and on the PP.

He's not gonna get nearly that good of a situation in New Jersey.
