I believe so. Except for Weise, who came from Manitoba. Everyone else from that list flew over from Europe.

This one doesn't make sense to me. Even old school before the NHL permitted the courting period, we would learn who would go where before July 1st anyways.

It was also odd how as soon as noon would hit, within minutes, we'd have teams signing players. Those were some real quick phone scrambling

The latest the Cup will be awarded is October 2nd. Which is usually a day or two before the season usually begins.

IF it all goes as planned. If the Cup is awarded by October 2nd and camps start November 17th, it would only be a 6 and a half week off-season. Not too bad.

And we'd get the draft and free agent frenzy in between.
