I like Robins.
He was 11th in the CHL for 5v5 goals
He was 11th in the CHL for primary assists 5v5
He was 6th in the CHL for PP goals
He was 8th in the CHL for shots per game

He did that while routinely playing against some of the better defensive teams in the CHL.

Hybrid offensive talent whos both a good shooter but also shows strong play making ability.

Not afraid to take the body and go to the dirty areas to score.

I don't necessarily dislike Robins, but I wouldn't take him at our 2nd round pick. He's in that large mix of guys who are in that 3rd round area, which means he could possibly drop to our 4th rounder, but most likely not.

At our 2nd round pick, you would essentially be taking him at the same kind of range as Robertson, but Robertson, who is only two months older than Robins, had almost 20 more goals than Robins had on Saskatoon in 2018-2019.

Guys like him is why I think it would be a good idea to trade down, because in this draft, there are not a ton of attractive options at our pick. So it would be better to trade down and maybe get two of those guys in that 3rd round range, like Robins, rather than reaching and only getting one... Of course assuming nobody drops from a higher tier.
