I think CBJ has maybe the most boring roster and farm system in the NHL. They have no direction, no really promising players, just a lot of bleh.

They had 3 first round picks yesterday, and landed Jake Bean and Adam Boqvist via trades. Farm system is restocking quickly for them, and will do so even faster if they can land value for Werenski or Laine.

He's not nearly as dynamic or skilled as Carlson. That said, perhaps in time he could be a PP2 guy with that shot. He was invited to Team Canada's summer camp so some valuable experience coming up next week.

He's a late birthday so he can play in Hershey after next season. 2023 seems like a somewhat aggressive jump but we'll see.

22-23 is the first season he can play in the AHL. That’s what was meant by being able to turn pro then. We won’t have that awkward “I wish he could play in the AHL but it’s CHL or NHL only” phase for him
