Irrelevant. The top picks should go to the teams that "earned" it and need it.
Kings have a ridiculous amount of prospect depth at forward right now.
And who's to say that New York would not have earned it? They weren't a shoe in for the playoffs
They are well on their way to playoff contention after years of rebuilding!
There are teams desperately needing high end talent for their rebuilds. Ottawa, LA, Anaheim, NJ, etc.
Irrelevant. The top picks should go to the teams that "earned" it and need it. Not a middle of the pack team that even signed Panarin the year prior.
Defeats the purpose of the draft system.
