No conspiracy here, its clear as day. There was no reason to filter that out at all... I dont know how people can even think of that conclusion about the 'flow' of conversation... It was pure sportsmanship, something that a professional league should be exemplifying... not having it be the ONLY thing removed from the conversation. But it alluded to something that the NHL didn't want to bring attention too. Woops, streisand effect as someone has mentioned already.
