I wish there was a Canadian team good enough to make it to the SCF just so one of CAR or FLA could beat them.

If Freddy is going to give them great goaltending then that might be all they need to punch through. As much guff as we want to give @JaegerDice, Carolina has been a great team more years than not and were routinely undone by poor goaltending. Tampa has as good of odds as anyone to win the Cup this year but yeah I agree, CAR could easily do it this season.

Many Canadian fans routinely crap on teams in non-traditional markets. A combo of thinking hockey is “their game” and believing Bettman doesn’t care about Canadian hockey. It’s very common and very disrespectful.

As long as the NHL insists on the current idiotic playoff format, good (perhaps great) teams will continue to be eliminated early in the post-season. The dumb format often makes it far less likely that the two best teams will meet in the Cup final.

Agreed. I’ve been really souring on it the last few years. The best teams shouldn’t be eliminated in the first two rounds
