Really hard to overstate how bad a choice Fleury is. He's really had as many outright bad years as good years, even factoring in his run with Vegas his playoffs have been average, and has not actually played more than the other comparable (re: better) choices. What's the reasoning there? Winning 2 Cups as a backup?

How is hedman not on any team? He has as many norris trophies as doughty.
His breakout came in the middle of the decade so that part is understandable.

Hedman wasn't elite until a few years into the decade. He has a case, but if anyone is coming out for him it should be Chara, who hasn't been elite for over half the decade.

Pretty good with the exception of Fleury who is a terrible pick here - he was abysmal in the playoffs for half of the decade and has never even been a runner-up for Vezina, nevermind winning one.

Crosby, Ovechkin, Kane, Malkin, Keith, Doughty, Karlsson and Lundqvist are pretty much no brainers. I don't really see any argument against them. Fleury is a weird choice though, but I think the 2nd goalie could be anyone from Price to Bob to Rask to Luongo. Chara sounded ok as the 4th defenseman, but I think that's just not really looking at when he declined. He's absolutely on this team if it was a play from 05-15, but he declined relatively early in the decade. Hedman probably makes the most sense, with cases for Weber or Burns, and maybe even someone like Pietrangelo for consistency.

Of which he is tied with Lundqvist. In less games. Facing more shots over his career. Being a guy that was vital to 3 stanley cups. Went to the finals with 2 different teams, one being an expansion in its inaugural season.

Yeah, so undeserving.

Zero Vezina wins.
Absolutely garbage playoff performances from 2010-2014.
Lost his starting job in the playoffs three times (2013, 2016, 2017).
Only Cup wins this decade came as the back-up.

He's the Chris Osgood of the 2010's

Frankly, it doesn't matter what your bias is, he's on that 1st team decade thing.

2009 did happen, 2008 he was great in as well and in his last playoff with the Pens he was solid and one of the reasons the Pens even made it as far as they did. The 2nd of the back-2-backs, Fleury was the reason the Pens got as far as they did while Murray was hurt, the year before he had 2 concussions during the season and it allowed Murray to step up.

Osgood never made the finals with any other team but the DRW.

You can go on and on about it all you want, he's still on that "All Decade 1st Team.."

2008 and 2009 aren't part of this decade... :biglaugh:

What if your bias is for goalies who were more than just above average?
