Last night I started a new GM as the Dallas Stars, but I re-designed their jerseys to be much more sexier. I re-named them the Dallas Neptunes since "Stars" isn't a useable name in the Create-A-Team. I used the Minnesota North Stars logo which fits the name, at least. Here are the jerseys:
Alternate captain Trevor Daley showing off the Neptunes' home jersey.
Right winger Brad Boyes sporting the Neptunes' away uniform.

So here's what has happened so far. Midway through the first year, we were having an abysmal season with basically a .500 record. It was a few weeks before the trade deadline so I decided to blow the team up.
Out went:
Brendan Morrow
Stephane Robidas
Jaromir Jagr
Erik Cole
Derek Roy
Ray Whitney
2018 1st round pick
some 2nd and 3rd round picks
some crappy AHLers & prospects with "meh" potential
In came:
Nail Yakupov
Cam Fowler
Joe Morrow
TJ Brennan
Toronto's first round pick
Edmonton's first round pick
another first round pick (don't remember the team)
a few other extra players/prospects who aren't important
--------------------------------------
We finished 4th last in the league but lucked out and won the lottery, ending up with the first overall pick. We also had the 5th pick, which I packaged along with the 26th pick for the 3rd pick. Here are my draft selections:
1st overall: Jonathan Drouin (67 overall, 4.5 stars)
3rd overall: Seth Jones (60 overall, 4.5 stars)
14th overall: Kerby Rychel (50-something overall, 4 stars)
(I didn't have a 2nd round or 3rd round pick. Not sure who I got with the late picks, didn't check, but you can check out my prospect pool at the bottom of this post.)
--------------------------------------
2013-14 Lineup:
Loui Eriksson (85, A) - Jamie Benn (86, A) - Nail Yakupov (82)
*Bud Holloway (80) - *Brock Trottier (76) - *Brad Boyes (81)
*Peter Regin (76) - *Patrik Lundh (77) - Alex Chaisson (75)
Colton Sceviour (74) - Vernon Fiddler (75) - Cody Eakin (75)
Trevor Daley (84, A) - Alex Goligoski (83)
Cam Fowler (81) - TJ Brennan (77)
*Pavel Valentenko (76) - Philip Larsen (77)
Kari Lehtonen (86)
*Atte Engren (77)
* denotes a player who was signed in free agency
I traded Richard Bachman to New Jersey for a 4-star 18 year old forward named Jason Dickinson. Bachman jumped to 83 overall and wanted almost $5 million already, and there's no way I'm paying him that to be our backup.
