Last night I started a new GM as the Dallas Stars, but I re-designed their jerseys to be much more sexier. I re-named them the Dallas Neptunes since "Stars" isn't a useable name in the Create-A-Team. I used the Minnesota North Stars logo which fits the name, at least. Here are the jerseys:

--------------------------------------

So here's what has happened so far. Midway through the first year, we were having an abysmal season with basically a .500 record. It was a few weeks before the trade deadline so I decided to blow the team up.

Out went:

Brendan Morrow
Stephane Robidas
Jaromir Jagr
Erik Cole
Derek Roy
Ray Whitney
2018 1st round pick
some 2nd and 3rd round picks
some crappy AHLers & prospects with "meh" potential

In came:

Nail Yakupov
Cam Fowler
Joe Morrow
TJ Brennan
Toronto's first round pick
Edmonton's first round pick
another first round pick (don't remember the team)
a few other extra players/prospects who aren't important

--------------------------------------

We finished 4th last in the league but lucked out and won the lottery, ending up with the first overall pick. We also had the 5th pick, which I packaged along with the 26th pick for the 3rd pick. Here are my draft selections:

1st overall: Jonathan Drouin (67 overall, 4.5 stars)
3rd overall: Seth Jones (60 overall, 4.5 stars)
14th overall: Kerby Rychel (50-something overall, 4 stars)

(I didn't have a 2nd round or 3rd round pick. Not sure who I got with the late picks, didn't check, but you can check out my prospect pool at the bottom of this post.)

--------------------------------------

2013-14 Lineup:

Loui Eriksson (85, A) - Jamie Benn (86, A) - Nail Yakupov (82)
*Bud Holloway (80) - *Brock Trottier (76) - *Brad Boyes (81)
*Peter Regin (76) - *Patrik Lundh (77) - Alex Chaisson (75)
Colton Sceviour (74) - Vernon Fiddler (75) - Cody Eakin (75)

Trevor Daley (84, A) - Alex Goligoski (83)
Cam Fowler (81) - TJ Brennan (77)
*Pavel Valentenko (76) - Philip Larsen (77)

Kari Lehtonen (86)
*Atte Engren (77)

* denotes a player who was signed in free agency

I traded Richard Bachman to New Jersey for a 4-star 18 year old forward named Jason Dickinson. Bachman jumped to 83 overall and wanted almost $5 million already, and there's no way I'm paying him that to be our backup.

--------------------------------------

(My Epic) Prospect Pool:

D Seth Jones (60 overall, 19 years old, 4.5 green stars)
C Radek Faksa (61 overall, 19 years old, 4.5 yellow stars)
LW Jonathan Drouin (67 overall, 18 years old, 4.5 yellow stars)
D Joe Morrow (72 overall, 20 years old, 4 yellow stars)
LW Jason Dickinson (56 overall, 18 years old, 4 yellow stars)
LW Kerby Rychel (58 overall, 19 years old, 4 yellow stars)
D Jamie Oleksiak (71 overall, 20 years old, 4 yellow stars)
D Patrik Nemeth (70 overall, 21 years old, 3.5 yellow stars)
C Rasmus Kulmala (57 overall, 19 years old, 3.5 yellow stars)
RW Brett Ritchie (63 overall, 20 years old, 3.5 yellow stars)
C Mike Winther (58 overall, 19 years old, 3.5 yellow stars)
LW Adam Lowry (62 overall, 20 years old, 3.5 yellow stars)
D Jyrki Jokipakka (62 overall, 22 years old, 3.5 yellow stars)
LW Tyson Dallman (53 overall, 20 years old, 3.5 yellow stars)
RW Tomas Vincour (70 overall, 22 years old, 3.5 red stars)

(I have a ton more 3 star and 2.5 star guys as well)

Jamie Benn Leads Dallas Neptunes to the Promised Land

402A0001_0_JPEG_SCREENSHOT_yUr.jpg

Superstar Neptunes center Jamie Benn fires a wrist shot past Oilers goaltender
Niko Hovinen after dancing through the whole team.

Just because a team has a superstar, doesn't mean they'll be a good team. However, when that superstar has solid support, the team can get it done. Such was the case with the 2013-14 Dallas Neptunes. After finishing 4th last in the league last year, the Neptunes signed a bunch of free agents - Brad Boyes, Bud Holloway, Peter Regin, Patrik Lundh, Brock Trotter, Atte Engren and Pavel Valentenko. Everyone expected the Neptunes to be abysmal once again this year, but they proved everyone wrong. The Neptunes finished 4th in the West (3rd in the league behind SJ and Buffalo) with 102 points (50-30-2). Jamie Benn led the team in scoring with a career year: 41 goals and 38 assists for 79 points. He was 4th in the league point-scoring race, behind only Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Alex Ovechkin, and Sidney Crosby. Benn also tied for 2nd in goals with Patrick Marleau - they both scored 41 goals, and were behind only Alex Ovechkin who scored 49.

Mid Season Acquisitions

Midway through January, the Neptunes' defense was struggling, but they were still hanging around 8th in the Western Conference. The Vancouver Canucks were well out of the playoff race, so the two teams agreed upon a trade. Dallas traded 26 year old defender Pavel Valentenko and 22 year old goaltender Frans Tuohimaa to Vancouver for Kevin Bieksa, a veteran defender.

At the trade deadline, Dallas was 6th in the West. The one glaring problem with their roster was the hole at center, so they made a trade with Boston. The Neptunes acquired 30 year old two-way center Patrice Bergeron from the Bruins in exchange for unsigned defensive prospect Valentin Zykov, 21 year old forward Tyson Dallman and one of their four 2nd round picks.

Individual Skater Stats

Jamie Benn - 41 goals, 38 assists, 79 points
Loui Eriksson - 25 goals, 42 assists, 67 points
Nail Yakupov - 22 goals, 40 assists, 62 points
**Patrice Bergeron - 27 goals, 31 assists, 58 points
Trevor Daley - 6 goals, 45 assists, 51 points
Brad Boyes - 26 goals, 24 assists, 50 points
Bud Holloway - 21 goals, 25 assists, 46 points
Alex Goligoski - 9 goals, 31 assists, 40 points
Cam Fowler - 10 goals, 26 assists, 36 points
Brock Trotter - 14 goals, 16 assists, 30 points
**Kevin Bieksa - 3 goals, 21 assists, 24 points
Patrick Lundh - 9 goals, 13 assists, 22 points
Peter Regin - 11 goals, 10 assists, 21 points
Philip Larsen - 4 goals, 17 assists, 21 points

Aelx Chiasson - 8 goals, 9 assists, 17 points
Cody Eakin - 8 goals, 5 assists, 13 points
Vernon Fiddler - 4 goals, 8 assists, 12 points

** denotes a player acquired mid-season

Vernon Fiddler was the only player with a negative plus/minus rating (-5).

Goaltender Stats

Kari Lehtonen - 73 GP - 43-26-2, 2.36 GAA, .923%
Atte Engren - 12 GP, 7-3-0, 2.34 GAA, .907%

League Leaders

As stated earlier Jamie Benn finished 4th in the league for points (79) and 2nd in goals (41).

Loui Eriksson (+33), Jamie Benn (+32), and Nail Yakupov (+29) had the best plus/minus ratings in the league.

Trevor Daley led all defensemen in assists (45), and finished with 51 points, two behind Roman Josi for the league-lead in points by a defender.

Playoffs

The Dallas Neptunes will play the 5th-seeded Nashville Predators (43-26-13) in round one of the playoffs.

Awesome stuff Deku! Those jerseys make me happy in the pants.

I love 'em too. I think Dallas should make their jerseys look like that in real life, with their current logo, of course. The shade of green would probably be a bit different though, to match their logo. Maybe I should contact the organization and share my ideas? :naughty:

Edit: Apparently they're changing their logo though

---------------------------------------------------

Forgot to post my playoff lines, here they are:

Loui Eriksson (85, A) - Jamie Benn (86, A) - Nail Yakupov (82)

Okay, I was writing in my own thread, but I'll be writing here from now on. I do QMJHL ones, not NHL though. Instead of continuing that, I'll restart so everyone can see from the beginning!

BATHURST TITAN BOUGHT.
L1woxJR.png

The Acadie-Bathurst Titan of the QMJHL have been purchased. Titan alumni Patrice Bergeron, and Roberto Luongo, along with former Bathurst native Sean Couturier, have all pitched in to buy the team. Léo-Guy Morrisette, the former owner, said he couldn't resist their offer. "I can't publicize it, but I now have enough money to buy a new house, new car, and a new life. I am sad to leave the Titan, but everything comes to an end, and I wish these fine gentlemen good luck with the team." The new owners have already appointed their new GM. Sean's father, Sylvain, is moving from an assistant coach role with the team to general manager. Other than Sylvain, the entire staff has been wiped, and the team has also been. The Titan currently have a roster of 0 players. They will be signing/drafting every single player. "It's an interesting way of doing things, but when your team only gets 900 people a night, these types of changes are needed. We will start with the midget draft, which is coming up fairly soon." said part owner Patrice Bergeron. "Were going to leave staff hiring up to Sylvain, and he will be taking over for us in the media until further notice." noted Luongo. "I'm just going to add that we're all happy to be apart of this team, and that we promise Titan fans an exciting team one way or another next year." Sean Couturier added.

COUTURIER HIRES COACH
ajqt3uP.png

Sylvain Couturier announced this afternoon, that Jim Midgley is the new head coach of the Titan. "Jim is a classy guy, and has been around the game for a long time. He'll bring a wealth of experience to our team, and we're glad to have him here in Bathurst." Jim added this, and named his own assistants. "I'd like to thank Sylvain for this opportunity, I'm very honoured to have gotten chosen. I'd also like to thank the Mooseheads for everything they did for me. My assistants this year will be Luke Beck, who coached at OHA last season, and Forbes MacPherson, who coached at the University of Prince Edward Island." Both Beck, and MacPherson weren't available for comment. Both are also Islanders, and are good friends. On another note, Peter Nevin has been named head scout of the team. Next up for the Titan is the midget draft, where the Titan hold 13 picks, all in the first 8 round, with 2 in the first round.

It's really just a one season thing haha. I always mix up the rosters to make it funner, and sometimes it'll get boring, but if you get a fun team to play with, it's awesome to play and write about!

February 1, 2015

phil-kessel1.jpg

Former Leaf Phil Kessel now entertains Sens fans, and is on the way to a career year

The Northeast has undergone a huge change, as former Bruins captain Zdeno Chara has been traded to the Carolina Hurricanes. With the Bruins appearing to slip from the playoffs, GM Peter Chiarelli decided to trade away older players Chara, Derek Morris, and Rich Peverley in exchange for picks and prospects. Meanwhile, the other 4 teams in the division are taking advantage of a weakening Bruins squad, and are vying for playoff positions this year.

The Chicago Blackhawks also traded away a valuable component of their previous Cup runs in Viktor Stalberg, opting for more defensive depth.

NOTABLE EVENTS
-Phil Kessel had his second hat-trick of the year, this time in a 6-2 win over the Florida Panthers
-Kessel leads the league in points, 2 ahead of Sidney Crosby's 58
-Kessel is second in league shots, 7 behind Valeri Nichushkin
-Kessel is 1 goal behind Nichushkin in the Rocket Richard race
-Jason Spezza leads the league in assists, 4 ahead of Crosby's 40
-Jared Cowen leads the NHL in hits, with 197, followed by former mentor Chris Phillips at 189
-Cowen is 2nd in PIMs, 11 behind Jacob Trouba

The Chicago Blackhawks dropped valuable center depth, in exchange for more veteran presence on the blue line and up front.
The Los Angeles Kings also improved their defense corps, trading with division rival Phoenix, adding Zbynek Michalek and Douglas Murray
Montreal geared up for the playoffs, adding seasoned skaters Antoine Vermette and Jan Hejda, while giving up prospects.

The Ottawa Senators were relatively quiet, much like the rest of the League, although there were rumours that Washington had approached them for Chris Neil.

However, many fans questioned the one move they did make. The Senators traded away 4 1st round picks and defender Eric Gryba for the slumping Lightning's 1st rounder this year, and two AHL players in Ruslan Fedotenko and Benoit Pouliot, after they learned that phenom Sean Day had been permitted to enter the NHL Draft one year early. Many expect that GM Brian Murray will attempt to draft Day, who has spent his OHL career with the Ottawa 67's so far, but it is unconfirmed.

It's a gamble, but every deal in this League is. Nothing is for sure. We believe that the move will benefit us in the long run, even though we gave up a hefty amount. Eric played well in Ottawa, but we just had too many defensemen. We wish him good luck and continued success with Tampa Bay.
- GM Brian Murray

Head Coach Paul MacLean is all smiles after qualifying for the post-season

After losing 6 of their 9 games prior to the Trade Deadline, many had expected Ottawa to make some moves in order to make the postseason. Head Coach MacLean wasn't given any new toys by GM Murray, and instead had to make do with what he had. So, he did, and there was immediate success following the line juggling.

OTTAWA SENATORS LINE-UP
Milan Michalek (84) - Jason Spezza (88, C) - Phil Kessel (89)
Nikita Filatov (80) - Kyle Turris (83) - Mika Zibanejad (81)

Keith Seabrook (79) - Sami Salo (83)
Mark Fayne (79) - Eric Gryba (78)
Marc Methot (76)

Robin Lehner (76)
Craig Anderson (82)

The Sens then went on a 6-game tear, finally being stopped by the bottom-of-the-West Vancouver Canucks, triggering the slumps again. However, they still managed to qualified for the playoffs, taking the 7th seed.

In the deciding game, with 13.8 seconds to go and down 1-2, Lehner was pulled for the extra man. Nikita Filatov snapped it past Jacob Markstorm to bring it into extra time. But it wasn't enough, as a Kris Versteeg slap shot trickled past a scrambling Lehner for the Panthers to advance.

PEPSI COLISÉE

It's draft day here in Quebec, at the Pepsi Colisée, home of the Remparts. The Titan are absolutely loaded with picks, totalling 13 in 8 rounds. They pick at 14, and 18 in the first round, at 22 in the second round, at 39 and 50 in the third, 61 and 69 in the fourth, at 76 and 82 in the fifth, at 100 and 112, in the sixth and seventh rounds respectively, and they also own back to back picks at 140, and 141 in the eighth.

When the time comes to make their first pick, the Titan have lots of options. They could take anyone, but Lucas Batt, Carl Neill, and Matthew Highmore look to be the top options. The owners are on hand for the draft, so they lead the trek up to the stage, followed by GM Sylvain Couturier, head scout Peter Nevin, and head coach Jim Midgley. Couturier (Sylvain) steps up to the mic. "First off, our team would like to congratulate the Saint John Sea Dogs on their President's Cup, and the Shawinigan Cataractes on their Memorial Cup. We would also like to thank the Quebec Remparts for their hospitality here this afternoon. Most importantly though, we're here to make our pick. The Bathurst Titan are proud to select, 14th overall, from Dartmouth, forward Matthew Highmore!" The staff of the Titan all smile, as Highmore walks up to the stage to greet them. Matthew shakes hands with all of them, before putting on his #12 (2012) Highmore jersey, and posing for a draft picture. Matthew tells the media how he feels. "It's an honour. Going in the first round is an amazing feeling, and staying in the Maritimes is even better." Head Scout Peter Nevin tells us about Highmore, "Matthew is a very solid, well-rounded forward. He can both put the puck in the net and shutdown the opposition. It's funny because he plays a very similar style to (owner) Sean Couturier. We're glad to add him to our team."
The Titan don't have to wait long to make their next pick. With three picks in between, Titan staff are soon going to be heading back up on stage, and when they finally do, it's the same 6 men who go up. This time, it's head scout Peter Nevin going to the mic. "With the 18th overall pick in the first round, Acadie-Bathurst selects, from the Boston Junior Bruins, Conor Garland!" Garland also walks up to the stage, and meets his coach, GM, and owners. Garland also has a #12 jersey but it of course says Garland, and not Highmore on it. Conor, a 5'6" winger, is also very glad to be a member of the Titan. "I didn't even know if I was going to be drafted, now going in the first round, it's a dream come true. I can't wait for training camp and hopefully I'll crack the roster." Peter Nevin added this about Conor, "He is obviously very small, but his hands are already among the best in the Quebec League, and he can pick corners incredibly. He'll need to bulk up, but he has a solid shot at making the team next year."
Acadie-Bathurst ends the first round with that pick, and in the second round, there will be no interviews, and players won't be going up on stage. The Titan picks 22, and when it's go time, head coach Jim Migley makes the pick. "With the 22nd pick in the second round, Bathurst picks Julien Pelletier." Pelletier heads to the draft floor to meet his team, and teammates. Bathurst also selected forward Jonathan Lacroix-Courville (39), and defenseman Brendan Nickerson (50) in the third round, d-man Maxime Chevalier (61), and forward Antoine Pouliot (69) in the fourth round. The team selected forward Marc-Antoine Germain (76), and goaltender Jason Rioux (82) in the fifth, defenseman Mathieu Amyot (100) in round six, forward Massimo Carozza in the seventh (112), and forwards Jonathan Bourcier (140), and Samuel Desjardins (141) in the final eight round.

"Today we added some valuable prospects that will give us some solid camp battles." said GM Sylvain Couturier.

Slivchenko (81)*-Alto (80)- C. Gordon (70)*

D. Siemens (85)- Leopold (84)
K. Russel (78)- Rutkowski (79)

Varlamov- (85)
S. Aarons (68)*

Lindgren- I suggest picking him up to develop your AHL roster. He has mad puck skills and will gift your players with goals. Seriously, 100 point AHL seasons. Have him on my NHL roster for an offensive lift for my second line.

Slivchenko- 4th overall pick in the 2014 draft. 4.5 stars. Good shooting, senses and defense. Average Skating, puck skills. Bad physical. I know he should be playing second/first line to develop but I need my players where they are to make the playoffs.

Alto- 6'8, 275 tough guy. Has amazing faceoff skills so I moved him to centre. Even put him on the second powerplay unit and his faceoff skills have improved our powerplay to top 5. 47 points, 187 PIM last year.

Monahan- Won't develop no matter where I play him. Decided to just leave him on the 4th line.

Gordon- Really good shooting, could put up 35+ goals on the first line.

Selik- Created player. Small, really fast offensive defenseman. Think Karlsson but faster.

Aarons- 5 star goalie, thats all.

Neptunes Win First Playoff Series Since 2008

402A0001_1_JPEG_SCREENSHOT_XPC.jpg

Dallas forward Jamie Benn prepares to take a faceoff against Predators forward Mike Fisher.

There are high expectations for the Dallas Neptunes this year after they racked up 50 wins in the regular season. Until this year, they hadn't even qualified for the NHL playoffs since 2008, when they were still named the Dallas Stars. That year, they lost in the Conference Finals to the Detroit Red Wings. Now, with a completely different looking team, the Dallas Neptunes have won their first playoff series since 2008.

Up against the Nashville Predators, the Neptunes got off to a great start in game one. The final score was 5-3 for the Neptunes. They scored 3 goals in the second period, and defenseman Alex Goligoski finished the game with 3 assists. Game two was a different story, as Dallas scored only one goal in a 3-1 loss. They bounced back, however, defeating the Predators in game three, in overtime. Trade deadline acquisition Patrice Bergeron sniped a wrist shot past Pekka Rinne for the overtime winner, and Dallas took the game by a score of 3-2. The Predators took game four, on the back on Pekka Rinne's 29 save effort, as they won 3-0. In game five, the Neptunes exploded in the first period, scoring 4 goals. They added another goal in the second period and went on to win 5-1. Game six was do or die for the Predators, but the Neptunes handled them rather easily, winning 3-1. Patrice Bergeron, Loui Eriksson, and Nail Yakupov all scored 5 points in the series - Bergeron had 5 goals. Brad Boyes, Alex Goligoski, Jamie Benn and Bud Holloway all scored 4 points. Kari Lehtonen finished the series with a 2.16 GAA.

The Neptunes will be playing the 8th seeded Vancouver Canucks in round two, who upset the first-seeded San Jose Sharks in the first round.

The Chicago Blackhawks are on their way back to the finals, yet again. At this rate, it would be more surprising if the Blackhawks didn't make an appearance for the Cup. This time, they will face off against Alexander Ovechkin's Capitals. These are the expected line combinations for the Stanley Cup Finals:

CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS LINE-UP
Patrick Sharp (87, A) - Jonathan Toews (90, C) - Marian Hossa (89)
Brandon Saad (80) - Patrick Kane (88) - Michael Frolik (83)
Kevin Hayes (79) - Mark McNeill (80) - Jimmy Hayes (79)
Jamie Langenbrunner (78) - Teuvo Teravainen (77) - Dainius Zubrus (78)

Duncan Keith (90, A) - Brent Seabrook (87)
Francois Beauchemin (86) - Michal Rozsival (83)
Niklas Hjalmarsson (82) - Henrik Tallinder (82)
Andrew Ference (81), Nick Leddy (80), Johnny Oduya (80)

Corey Crawford (82)
Mac Carruth (59)

WASHINGTON CAPITALS LINE-UP
Alexander Ovechkin (93, C) - Nicklas Backstrom (87, A) - Yevgeni Kuznetsov (87)
Filip Forsberg (82) - Mike Ribeiro (82) - Juuso Ikonen (81)
Wojtek Wolski (80) - Brooks Laich (83) - Guillaume Latendresse (79)
Ryan Jones (78) - Mathieu Perreault (82) - Troy Brouwer (77, A)
Marcus Johansson (80), Ryan Smyth (79)

John Carlson (85) - Mike Green (86)
Karl Alzner (85) - Jeff Schultz (81)
Erik Fleming (80) - Dmitry Orlov (78)

M Neuvirth (85)
B Holtby (83)

Chicago: The Blackhawks will ice their standard first line of Sharp-Toews-Hossa, who have tremendous chemistry together. Kane has proven that he makes his linemates better, making life easy for Frolik. Rookie Mark McNeill will be centering the Hayes brothers, while vets Langenbrunner and Zubrus will flank another rookie in Teuvo Teravainen. Keith and Seabrook are clearly the League's best defensive pairing, and will stay together. Deadline acquisition Francois Beauchemin will line up with Rozsival, leaving the Swedes Hjalmarsson and Tallinder together. They will also be carrying 3 spare defenders. Crawford is once again their starter, with rookie Mac Carruth expected to keep the bench warm.

Washington: The Capitals, meanwhile, feature a European trio up front, after Yevgeni Kuznetsov joined the squad this year. Their second line is extremely talented, with all 3 players having amazing puck skills. Their bottom-6 has a combination of scorers and defensively-sound players, and the 13th and 14th forwards bring more of the same. 'Carlzner' has been broken up, with Green and Schultz as their respective pairings. Rookie Erik Fleming rounds out their defense squad with puck-mover Dmitry Orlov. The Caps bring 2 steady netminders in Neuvirth and Holtby, who split the regular season.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Wolves (Vancouver Canucks) will take on the Providence Bruins (Boston Bruins) in the Calder Cup finals.

Neptunes Victorious in High-Scoring Series vs. Canucks

402A0001_2_JPEG_SCREENSHOT_DtI.jpg

There probably won't be a crazier series than this in all of the 2014 playoffs. The Western Conference Semi-Finals series between Dallas and Vancouver featured lots of goals. 38 goals were scored in total by both teams over the course of six games. Game one started off with an absolutely terrible defensive showing by both teams: the Neptunes led 4-3 after the first period. Neptunes forward Brock Trotter and Canucks forward Chris Higgins both scored twice in the first 20 minutes. Both teams tightened up for the rest of the game, although the Canucks did tie it up in the second period. In the third, Alex Goligoski scored the game winning goal for the Neptunes on the powerplay, and they won game one 5-4. Game two featured another offensive outburst, this time in the third period by the Canucks. The game was tied 2-2 after the second period, but Vancouver struck four times in the third to win 6-3. The Neptunes finally smartened up and played fantastic defensive hockey in game three, as they won 3-0. Everyone on Dallas' top line scored a goal (Benn, Eriksson, and Yakupov) while Kari Lehtonen earned himself a 27-save shutout. In game four, Dallas had what was likely their best first period in franchise history. They scored five goals, including two by Loui Eriksson, and they led the Canucks 5-1 after the first period. They held on the win 6-3. Vancouver didn't give up in, though. In game five they fought hard to push the series to six games, by winning 3-1. Their effort in game six wasn't enough, however, as the Neptunes took it by a score of 3-1. Brad Boyes scored two goals, and Kari Lehtonen made 29 saves to help the Neptunes clinch a Conference Finals appearance.

Loui Eriksson leads the Neptunes with 13 points in 12 games played, and Alex Goligoski is right behind him with 11 points in 12 games. Patrice Bergeron has continued to score a lot of goals, now with 9 goals through the first two playoff rounds. Kari Lehtonen finished the series with a 2.33 GAA.

The Dallas Neptunes will face the Edmonton Oilers in the Western Conference Finals.
