I pretty sure Gallant was "the choice" all along. As I said earlier, he was a finalist for the job back when we hired Dineen so it would make the most sense that he would be the favorite this time around.
Totally agree! Have not read anything coming out of Penguins organization stating that the $2+ million or a potion thereof goes away if Bylsma gets a new HC gig

I believe the Pens would pay the DIFFERENCE if another team signed him as head coach. And the team offering a deal to DB has to be close to what he signed with the Pens.
