High court rules against NCAA on compensation

WASHINGTON -- In a ruling that could help push changes in college athletics, the Supreme Court on Monday unanimously sided with a group of former college athletes in a dispute with the NCAA over rules limiting certain compensation.

The high court ruled that NCAA limits on the education-related benefits that colleges can offer athletes who play Division I basketball and football can't be enforced.

Elite 11 currently going on. Tough with all the COVID ramifications but this QB class for the 2022 cycle looks pretty good compared to recent years. Obviously it helps when you have a guy like Quinn Ewers (Ohio State commit) at the top who seems like most consider him a comparable prospect to Trevor Lawerence coming out of high school.

He’s currently a sophomore. So he’ll be in the next cycle (2023). Looks like he’s looking at the big SEC schools, Texas, & Clemson. So he definitely appears to be staying south. Not sure Ole Miss or Tennessee will realistically be in it given the family ties.

Nice get for PSU

Much better class so far, more on par with 2018 & 2019. Although this class might have a top flight QB prospect with Drew Alar unlike those classes (Fields unfortunately didn’t end up in 2018).

They’re in an tight battle with Georgia for DL Dani Denis-Sutton who should be announcing at the end of the mouth. He’s probably a 5* guy when it’s all said & done & their top remaining target.

Fan site will pay A&M players $10K for interviews

In the brave new world of name, image and likeness sponsorships, a Texas A&M fan site has struck a deal to pay two Aggies football players $10,000 each for "exclusive feature interviews" ahead of SEC media days.

Running back Isaiah Spiller and safety Demani Richardson each will be featured on TexAgs.com as part of a deal with a local company, GreenPrint Real Estate Group.

Oh please let A&M block this. Maximum chaos. Although Texas being Oil Money Ole Miss would be fun too.

A&M is certainly sad at this news. Divisional realignment would be fun in this scenario.

College football continues to get weirder by the day... Oklahoma and someone like South Carolina in the same conference. Bizarro world.

Teams like TCU and Baylor are the ones that stand to lose the most with this. Where do they end up? The Big 12 would gone at that point.

Like what would even be the point of conferences at that point? Stupid.
