Lisa Byington, Steve Smith, and Lauren Shehadi from MLB are great and I can't get enough of them. I hope they're a trio next round and next year.

Meh, UVA wasn't that good this year anyway. They were still riding the national champion wave.

This is a really weird season (obviously). No one has been consistently good from start to finish.

Just throwing this out there, but this seems like the type of year where a Boeheim coached team makes a run.

NCAA D1 champs just wrapped up. A few notes:

PSU went 4/4 in finals matches. First wins in program history for 133 and 141 classes. They’re underdogs in all but the 184 match.

Shane Griffith won at 165 for Stanford. He wore a plain black singlet for the tournament because Stanford decided to end their wrestling program.

Iowa won the tournament despite having only one champion—Spencer Lee, who fought a torn ACL in a second knee to his 3rd finals victory. Lee’s an all time great. Hopefully his knees hold up for the international stage.

Gable Steveson won his first title. The celebration flip:

Steveson cruised to victory, though he might have some competition next season. True freshman AJ Ferrari won at 197 and stated that he’d wrestle at heavyweight in the 2021-2022 season.

Ferrari is a total heel; can’t wait for this matchup.

Here’s a funny moment from last night:

The coach, Metcalf, is somewhat infamous for pushing his celebrating opponent mid-flip in the 2009 national championship, causing him to land on his back. Here, the interference is more wholesome.
