Basically, nobody wants to go first in postponing the season but it’s headed down that road. Some speculation that this might affect ESPN’s ability to keep MNF.

Yep, no leaders whatsoever in any of these P5 conferences. They all want to delay the inevitable as long as possible then follow someone else's lead. I figure it'll be the Big Ten or Pac 12 who makes the first move.

It will be interesting because the NFL is such a habitual life. A July draft is not going to give teams enough time to get up to speed, nor will they get enough time ahead of it to properly prepare (in their purview) if there is a spring season. Then you look at college kids playing spring and then coming right back for the fall.

RIP 2020 college football season. Even if they play in the spring, a lot of the NFL talent probably won't play.
