La liste : Lloris, Maignan, Mandanda - Digne, Dubois, L. Hernandez, Kimpembe, Lenglet, F. Mendy, Upamecano, Varane - Camavinga, Kanté, Nzonzi, Rabiot, Sissoko - Aouar, Ben Yedder, Giroud, Griezmann, Ikoné, Martial, Mbappé.
Mandanda selected while he's positive to Covid...
No Theo Hernandez because his bro Lucas took the place even though he dosn't play.
Lenglet in meh.
Camavinga called up !!!!!
Nzonzi? Like seriously?
Rabiot back ! Can't deny the talent.
Sissoko... wtf?
Aouar first cap !
Ikone over Coman, no idea how of why (rumor is that Bayern didn't want their starters to be called up).

Pogba isn't on this list because he tested positive for Covid. No idea why Mandanda is then.

For Croatia officially no Modric and Rakitic, with Perisic and Brozovic likely getting rested too playing in the finals of CL/EL. Not sure what the status of Vrsaljko is, he had Coronavirus about a month ago, he has since tested negative but I doubt he is anywhere near match fitness. Pongracic who was set to make his debut now has mono, so he will be out for a while. Good chance to see the midfield without Modric in two big games (Rakitic is already slowly being phased out) which will probably be the reality soon when he retires. Midfield still looks good on paper however the depth at defense is not great, especially wingbacks

- Livakovic, Sluga, Grbic*
- Vida, Lovren, Vrsaljko, Jedvaj, Barisic, Caleta-Car, Skoric, Meljnak, Uremovic*
- Kovacic, Brozovic, Badelj, Pasalic, Vlasic
- Perisic, Kramaric, Rebic, Brekalo, Petkovic, Budimir*, Colak*
* = looking to make debut

For Ligue 1 followers, how are Bradaric (Lille) and Basic (Bordeaux)? I see they play often, Bradaric should be on the NT especially when Melnjak is the backup LB who plays for some random Turk club. Basic as a midfielder has more competition but its probably time to phase out Badelj

Nzonzi! I'm glad France is finally taking him. DRC has been trying to get him for a while...

Along with Coady, first calls for both.

Grealish called up today as Rashford and Winks drop out due to injuries. Still no LB in the squad.
AMN can do the job at LB.

sorta puzzling cuz Saka is a better LB/player than AMN yet didn’t get the call up Lol.

Some changes for the 2021 and 2023 Gold Cup

- There for once will actually be a draw for the group stage, in the past CONCACAF manipulated the groups so Mexico/USA could only meet in the final
- Qatar will be a guest team for the next two editions, obviously financially motivated but CONCACAF and AFC have some working relationship as well
- There will be a knockout playoff tournament before the start of the Gold Cup to determine the final three spots, its similar to the Euro 2020 playoff format. The 12 teams are: Cuba, Bermuda, Haiti, Trinidad & Tobago, French Guiana, Montserrat, Guyana, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Barbados, Bahamas, Guatemala and Guadeloupe

Bosz is a polarizing coach. Fun to watch, but his teams concede so many goals because his tactics cannot keep the ball out of his own net.

As to Palacios, I'm not suggesting you are even wrong, but do you want a guy playing for your National Team in big games that isn't playing regularly? I wouldn't want a rusty player in the team for important National Team games. I think thats even more so when the player isn't an established National Team player.

No. Neither does Scaloni. But he is already an integral part of plans going forward. They know his talent/ability which is world class. Then again Argentina have been often saddled in recent World Cups by players entering it fatigued and overplayed. There is a balance. He played the other day and scored versus Anderlecht albeit a friendly. Hopefully with Havertz gone this is his chance to seize the reins.

Coady over Dunk or Tarkowski is a weird one IMO
Coady was very good last season too.

If Southgate wants to play 3 in the back, Coady is the best option to backup Maguire in the middle (if not start over him). Only half kidding about the last part.

CB3 is where England have the best personnel for honestly and they have played that system before.

Okay so Bosnia is playing Italy today. Bosnia is starting this player named Armin Hodzic. LFC trainee but had to let him go because they couldn’t get him a work permit. Now he is 25 years old and has a very respectable goal record.

Frenkie de Jong with a brilliant ball out right to Hateboer and Bergwijn tucks the ball in after it comes back across. Really well worked and deserved goal as they've been dominant.

Memphis has been getting mugged and absolutely manhandled all game.
