Ok, but our entire core aside from Rinne is in their early-late 20's.

You do realize Subban wasn't our best player right? Like Ekholm and Josi are better than him and Johansen, Arvidsson and Forsberg are more important to our team.

Nobody's claiming they're a dynasty, we're just saying that our window isn't closed.

You think we're going to be only a .500 club? Really?

Look - everyone has a right to their opinion - mine is Taylorst is wrong on his assesment. They did't get get "rolled" - they lost in 6 playing poor hockey against a good Dallas squad that was playing well. The preds coasted into the playoffs playing bad hockey and no one really expected them to win they way they were playing. The Subban cap dump really sucks for Nashville, time will tell how Poile is judged on the outcome. We are all keyboard GM's here and have no idea what discussions / other factors played into decision making.

Having said that I strongly expect Nashville to be competitive again next year - but it will be interesting see who joins them in the off season

Why did we buy him out after he got knee surgery, started skating better, and has had an off season to recover?

We only save 2 mill in cap space next year after the buyout penalty, and there seems to be a lot of interest in him at 2-3 mill...

He's gonna be a steal if anyone signs him that cheap and we accomplished nothing by buying him out other than give Kase/Silfverberg/Sprong more ice time, which we could have done regardless.
