Obviously his best days are behind him, he's 34. Wasn't worth nearly 8.6 million, which is why he was bought out. He's still hit at least 49 points basically every single year he's been in the league except for the injury plagued season last year. There will plenty of teams interested in giving him a 1 or 2 year deal.

I really do not know how to process about the idea of him in Gold either; but he would likely score lots of goals on the power play down low IF HEALTHY and keep Arvy from taking a beating in the blue ice too by drawing those beatings to him instead.
