Can't believe Diaz is still scratched. What a joke.

Only good thing about Subban/Murray is that Subban's contract can only get cheaper since he'll be on the ice for 600 goals now!

Hey smart guy, compare styles with styles. Diaz and Beaulieu bring the same thing, Murray and Emelin do not.

Then they wouldn't be Hawkguy posts. He has to campaign for the guys nobody else likes while pooping on players like Emelin, Eller, Patches and Subban while trying to make it seem like Desharnais, Gorges and Diaz are carrying the team on their back.

Against the Pens, Murray was a 0 +/-. He played a great game with 5 or 6 hits and 5 or 6 blocked shots.

Hate to say it but our star stud DMen, Subban and Markov were the ones who **** the bed against the Pens. They got lit up pretty badly.

The Pens have zero depth. Of course their AHL bottom 6 weren't going to score against our (barely)NHL caliber bottom pairing.

Playing against Crosby and Malkin usually does that... Murray played against AHLers...

Aye, Markov in particular was awful. He looked pretty bad when we faced the Leafs too...

That said, I am looking forward to seeing Beaulieu play again. The kid has skill and confidence. If he can develop his shot I can see him really helping us. He moves the puck really well.

Diaz and Beaulieu actually play hockey. Murray shouldn't be on an NHL roster.

Absolutely zero excuse for us not to be playing Diaz right now. Totally stupid and its just one more example of our coach being a complete idiot.

Not saying we don't need a big physical blueliner but get one who can play hockey. No reason not to play Diaz right now. I'd put him above Emelin the way he's been playing too.

Sigh... Subban and Murray as a pairing. Really?

Detroit doesn't play that much of a big, mean, physical game. They are more puck possession-style. Would it not make sense to counter that by icing Diaz, a defenseman who can move the puck and is decent defensively in his own end. I don't see the need for Murray in a game like this, much less pairing him with Subban. Diaz on the ice and Emelin on his right side would improve the defensive side of things.

Oh well...

That's the point.

A goal scored by a bottom 6 player counts just the same as a goal scored by Crosby. Although your post is a little disingenuous since Murray played 5:33 on the penalty kill.

Murray did his job. Subban and Markov had a very tough night. Maybe criticism should be given to those deserving of it based upon performance instead of fan status?
