His contract is so cheap and short that the risk is minimalhow can people honestly say this is a no risk deal. he was absolutely putrid outside of Montreal last year and has shown he can be less than useless, yeah i get he is just a backup and can be replaced but if price goes down and they only have Niemi and Lindgren there is tons of risk in that.
This is a raise for him though? This is a significant drop from his salary last year.
His previous salary was over 4 milThis is a raise for him though?
0? Not sure, but i think the cap relief is up to 950k.How much do we save if we send him down to the AHL??

Meh just another bargain-bin move by Bergevin.
Will be hilarious if Niemi somehow outplays Price

No risk move on a guy who was actually pretty solid playing behind a tire fire. Nothing to complain about here.
He wasn't really all that bad... the team in front of him was absolutely atrocious, though.I guess they're not sold on Lindgren as their backup yet, considering he was pretty crappy in the AHL this year. Makes sense.
Well let’s be honest, Price wasn’t exactly injured all seasonLiterally impossible scenario if Price is healthy. They are worlds, nay, galaxies apart as far as technical talent goes.

He may have cost the team a 2nd overall pick. It was really upsetting at one point, I thought for sure we would end up 7-8th.
