Why spend $10.5M on a goalie when Holtby and Murray will likely be available.

I believe Seattle will want start player to start off their franchise so would not be surprised if Price ended up there.

I am not one of those guys who thinks he is done yet. He is only 32, that's a few year left of high level goal tending and he has been known to alternate good and bad seasons since he was drafted. Price is a gamble, he may be the reason you go deep in a Stanley cup run with a mediocre team or he can eat 12% of your cap for limited contribution ;)

Not yet.

A 7 point gap between the habs and the WC #2 spot won't stop Bergevin from going all in.

They need 53 points from 38 games which is a 27-11 record. You can’t just look at being 7 points back because you also have to leap frog 4 other teams who have a better record than you and also have a better chance if those teams slip up. Looking at the required win/loss record gives you a better idea. They aren’t going 27-11.

Habs fans should be ban from the Trade Rumors board for 24h after a bad game, enough to breathe and let the over reaction drop.
We already have the goddam p***yes on us with the words can we at least rebuild properly for once ...

Hard to admit but Montreal is now a seller.

There will be trades but involving who?

Would love to play a guessing game and predict a trade.

The Leafs? Montreal could take cap for prospects or picks.

What you guys think?
Montreal if sellers aren't giving their players away if they can't make a trade they like there will be no trades made. Players that won't be traded are : Gallagher, Danault , Domi , Suzuki , Kotkaniemi , Poehling , Armia , Drouin , Chiarot , Mete , Fleury . or prospects Caufield , Romonov , Primeau , Brook, the 1st rd pick , 2nd rd picks 3rd rd pick will not be traded either.

Montreal will consider trading Price , Weber but won't due to the teams that are interested wanting Montreal to retain to much of their salary/cap hit they won't be traded.

Tatar , Lehkonen , Byron , Cousins , Thompson , Weal , Peca , Petry , Scandella , Kulak , Kovalchuk ,
Hudon , Juulsen , Alzner , Folin , Kinkaid , Lindgren . Are the players that will be made available.

If you or anyone are expecting a rebuild massive changes/trades your going to be disappointed.

If Habs were to lose more than 6 game in the next 10 Habs are going to be seller. But be aware the market won't be what you might think. If habs fail this stretch no Gallagher nor Tatar will be going, but Price. Habs are at crossroad, and they are going to redraw another PK deal this year to ensure that the last stretch to be pure crap.

So what are your offer for a price with 1 million retention. Starting bid top A prospect 2nd rounder and an actual nhl player (perhaps a top9)

the kind of offer and : hmmm the skill rank. Yeah Pricey seems to .... well but with a top team you got a beast (and if he is full mental you got a cup ring in the palm of your hand)
