Hard to admit but Montreal is now a seller.

There will be trades but involving who?

Would love to play a guessing game and predict a trade.

The Leafs? Montreal could take cap for prospects or picks.

What you guys think?

What kind of clause does Kovalchuk have? A lot of teams might not mind paying him that contract if he continues to put up points.

Not yet.

A 7 point gap between the habs and the WC #2 spot won't stop Bergevin from going all in.

They wont be sellers until the last possible moment because Bergevin is completely delusional. I don't see them moving any significant players.

Kovalchuk, Byron, Kulak, and Cousins are probably the most likely to be available, if teams are interested. I don't see them moving guys like Tatar, Lehkonen, or Petry, and they 100% wont be trading anybody from their core.

The Habs haven't bought into a full on rebuild yet, and there's no reason to believe that this season will be any different under Bergevin.

Well they're not going to be selling much, so I wouldn't really call them sellers.

Side note, they're not a team incapable of making the playoffs. Wins are tough to come by when you have top players like Gally, Armia, Drouin, etc. out for extended periods of time

I think a swap of Dillon for a winger would be good. Gives MTL a LD to pair with Weber or Petry and they got lots of wingers/forwards.

100% we should be sellers. We should be committed to a rebuild.

I feel bad for Carey and Shea. They should be moved ASAP to contending teams.

I feel bad for Claude. He's been doing his best with a mediocre roster but is likely to take the fall when we're officially eliminated from playoff contention.

I feel bad for the fans, too. We deserve better from this GM and organization.

Instead, MB thinks he can still salvage things when it simply isn't going to happen. Aside from our young and skilled prospects, no one should be untouchable. It's time to begin a new era.

Montreal trades tatar at 50% retained.

Price is: 1st, 2nd ,3rd or 1st b prospect.
