Revisiting an old favorite here. Needs may have changed over the course of the season and as we get closer to the draft. Is Edmonton looking for a top LW? Do they need to shed a little cap?

Galchenyuk for RNH.

Think this train of thought should be dropped. Oil don't want to move RNH

After we saw the crazy chemistry of mcnuge at the end of the season where Nuge went over ppg and McDavid was near 2 ppg, he is pretty much untouchable. Only way he gets traded is in a package for a young top pairing D.

there's no reason now for the Oilers to do this with Nuge having success on McDavid's wing and still signed for another 3 years at $6 mil/per. i like Galchenyk but i think the Oilers would be looking elsewhere if they were in the market to trade him. the value is there though.

I would do this with the 3rd for the 10th. But MTL wont give that up, they are bound to add Zadina to their 10 billion leftwingers

I'd rather keep RNH at just 1.1M more. At least he can comfortably slide to C if there is a need for line shuffling. He clicks with McDavid and looks like a 6M dollar caliber winger.

In your head
Easy to look better when you are playing with McDavid...

It's a only a coincidence that a guy who was never able to hit 60 points , was a ppg+ as soon as he played with one of the best players in the world... And it was a huge sample size. :sarcasm:

Seriously, I would rather keep Galchy who is able to get close to ppg at C , while playing with lesser talents.

So he was still doing better while playing a harder position while not next to McDavid, is your argument supporting that RNH is the better player now?

The poster said RNH is a better winger than Galchenyuk. The only time RNH played wing was when he was on McDavids line.
And I responded by saying its easy to look better when playing with Mcdavid.
Im sure if Galchenyuk was playing with a legit number 1 center instead of Danault, Drouin or De la Rose, he would look much better.
