deadline. time to vote.

these players got offers. didn't list offers that weren't close to being competitive.

Andrew Ladd|SJ (6x5.5, 10 team NTC), OTT (6x6.6, NMC yr 1-3, 10 team NTC yr 4-6), CHI (8x6.55, NMC)|
Frans Nielsen|OTT (5x5.8, NMC yr 1-2, 10 team NTC years 3-5), DET (4x5.75,), MIN (6x4.5, NTC)|
Eric Staal|NSH (4x5.25)|
David Perron|ANA (3x2.75)|
Jiri Hudler|AA (5x4M, 8 team NTC years 4-5), MIN 2x4|
Cam Ward|DET (2x2), TOR (3x3)|
Chad Johnson|VAN (3x3.5M)|
Luke Schenn|DET (3x2.5)|
Roman Polak|CBJ (5x4.5)|
Shawn Matthias|ANA (2x1.5)|
Darren Helm|DET (4x2M), CBJ, (4x3.4), OTT (3x2.75), PHI (3x2.5)|

my votes

Ladd - CHI; term is the key.
Nielsen - MIN; overall money after taxes is pretty close with OTT and MIN. MIN's forward group, especially at C is less crowded so i went with them.
Hudler - AA
Ward- TOR; more money and term
Helm - CBJ; more money and/or term

the rest can sign those deals by me.

wave 4 can start as soon as these are done.

i don't think we need final period for wave 4 guys either. we can just vote on offers right after deadline, monday noon.

Ladd: Chicago, term and they traded to get him back on top of it
Nielsen: Detroit, money is close and 4 years seems to be Nielsen's comfort level in contracts. He also fills a nice role with the likely departure of Datsyuk (for this mock next season) with Larkin to mentor
Hudler: Anchorage, pretty clear
Ward: Toronto, opportunity, term and money
Helm: Columbus, money and term enough to win that one

Single offers all seem fine to me, although I'm bummed I didn't go after Matthias now.

Kinda not what this period's about but I forgot about NMCs. There would be a full NMC for Nielsen but you know...

ok, all but nielsen are settled. we'll get that done when forsbergavs gives the vote.

i think we can also start wave 4 right away. i don't think we need final period in wave 4.

OTT, MIN and DET can make offers for wave 4 agents with the cap space they have; no one has signed nielsen yet; when he signs just rescind the offers that would have you going over the cap. i'd assume it goes to ottawa though since they are the only one with 2 votes.

panthers made these offers

Ahti Oksanen - 2yr ELC @ 850k
Nick Saracino - 1 yr ELC @ 635k
Brandon Denham - ELC @ 635k

Welcome to the squad Hudler! Will fill in nicely in the Top 6 at a pretty fair caphit. Extra term was necessary in order to convince him to join an expansion team, but we feel even his play does slow down for the last couple of years, a 4.0M cap hit isn't anything major to deal with.

The signing leaves us with roughly 3M in cap space for the final wave.

Flyers place the following offers.

Matt Martin - 3 years x 1.725mil per year
Nick Spaling - 2 years x 1mil per year
Boyd Gordon - 1 year x 1mil
Matt Bartkowski - 1 year x 1mil
Peter Mueller - 1 year x 850k (1-way)
Bud Holloway - 1 year x 850k (1-way)
T.J. Brennan - 1 year x 850k (1-way)
Brandon Denham - 850k ELC

**Worth noting, at least a few of these guys will end up in the AHL, so they won't impact my cap.
