Royals are anticipating Hosmer will seek a 10 year deal in free agency..... given he's 27, he may actually get that with a strong season.

Hosmer isn't that great offensively. He was a below replacement level player according to Fangraphs last year. I think it would be a very, very, very poor move to give him (or anyone) a 10 year deal.
