Probably one of the safest bets for a movie franchise out there. You know what you're going to get, and it'll be pretty good.

They're good popcorn movies. Don't really think much of the series beyond that, but they'll probably get my money to catch it and then immediately forget after watching it.

I've been pleasantly surprised with the consistency of this franchise.

2 and 3 were probably the worst ones.

Agreed - I grew up on the 80s M:I series and was absolutely blown away by M:I 1. An all-time classic. 2 was the victim of having the wrong director, but everything since has been a wild ride.

The 80's MI series was an abomination of the original though. ;)

Fun, entertaining films. Never saw one and afterwords was disappointed or upset. Just good action flicks. Will see this.

Bump. The hype on this one seems to be building as it gets closer to release and the reviews are coming in off the chain. 95% on RT right now with a lot of really high scores and effusive praise. Some reviewers are calling this one of the best action films ever made.

I heard some people talking about how it is up there with Mad Max Fury Road as one of the best in the last decade or so.

As someone who really does not want to support a Tom Cruise picture, this is one movie that tempts me to go see it.
