You know what, the Flyers deserve a lot of credit, a lot of credit we don't give them. We've dealt with a handful of injuries this year, nothing absolutely debilitating, but enough. And a f***ing kid got diagnosed with a very serious form of cancer, like even serious by Cancer standards.

This team could have folded, and we would bitch and moan on HF, but realistically, we couldn't blame them that much.

Instead, they're a top 10 team in the league.

Seriously, good for them.

Very good result. Hope the Sharks come up with something in perhaps their last game with Thornton.

Maybe Babcock wasn't the horse's @$$ that some the players made him out to be when he tried to motivate some of those guys? Keefe, the supposed savior, hasn't been able to get the club to jell either. Its a roster that is badly out of sync but the players think that they're at the ice capades getting extra points for style rather than a hockey match where they need to put heart into their play.
Teams that make trades with Toronto have to think hard about whether or not they want to add players from the Leafs coming back in a trade to their roster.

Yeah something about the roster isn’t right. I think they inflated a bunch of egos with huge contracts and media pressure because it’s Toronto, the center of the universe.

So the day after the Leafs meltdown...they had an optional skate. And as far as I can see. most took it off except Nylander was mentioned as being there.

You would almost think, after that kind of night, that Keefe would have a mandatory practice and just bag skate them. Have a whole practice with no pucks. But nope, day off. Then on to sunny Tampa on Monday for a game Tuesday....then Florida Thursday. That will be 2 games to see how they react to all this....and possibly the deadline deals.

5 of their next 6 are on the road:

at Tampa
at Florida
Home vs Canucks
at SJ
at LA
at Ducks

Maybe getting away from Toronto will be the best thing for them. But man, it's some funny up here going from "worst game of the year" vs Pitt, to "best game of the year" vs Pitt, to "lost to a zamboni driver".

What a great 5 days it has been!
