So the day after the Leafs meltdown...they had an optional skate. And as far as I can see. most took it off except Nylander was mentioned as being there.

You would almost think, after that kind of night, that Keefe would have a mandatory practice and just bag skate them. Have a whole practice with no pucks. But nope, day off. Then on to sunny Tampa on Monday for a game Tuesday....then Florida Thursday. That will be 2 games to see how they react to all this....and possibly the deadline deals.

5 of their next 6 are on the road:

at Tampa
at Florida
Home vs Canucks
at SJ
at LA
at Ducks

Maybe getting away from Toronto will be the best thing for them. But man, it's some funny up here going from "worst game of the year" vs Pitt, to "best game of the year" vs Pitt, to "lost to a zamboni driver".

What a great 5 days it has been!

That was my favorite non flyer game in a long time last night. Awesome story from the Canes side anyway.

Panarin is going nuts for the Rags...

1st in the league in 5v5 points (54)
4th in the league total points (83)

A 23 point gap between him and 2nd place on his team in scoring.
To compare, that's like the gap between our top scorer (Couturier with 55) and our 7th place scorer (Provorov with 31).

His most common linemate is Strome and...

Strome with Panarin (783:39)
57.57 CF%
60.91 xGF%

Strome without Panarin (437:34)
33.06 CF%
33.57 xGF%

To be fair, Zibanejad has played 12 less games than Panarin. He has had a damn good year as well.

Sure, I didn't mean to imply that Panarin was the only one playing well, just that he's had the biggest impact on the team.

It's not Zibanejads fault he was hurt, but if he's not in the lineup then he can't help the team.
