That is a significant hire for Pittsburgh. The next move for them will be Hextall going after the Flyer’s regional scouts. Fletcher had better be prepared to cut that off at the pass.

I wonder how Hextall's micromanagement played with the rank and file?
I hope Fletcher has extended contracts for the scouts he likes.

So far there's been little or no dropoff going from Pryor to Flahr.
Though we do appreciate what Hextall built here, no reason to help him in Pittsburgh.

He's also always been incredibly mediocre. I'm fairly certain 10% of his checks should still be going to Pieterangelo and Parayko because with out those two, he wouldn't have gotten that contract.

In a vacuum I’d claim Connolly but that term is a problem and so is actually having a spot for him. He should get claimed by someone, but won’t.

He caught lightning in a bottle. He's incredibly average, but that stretch that led the Blues to the Cup was premier goaltending that he'll never repeat.
