Pateryn was never going to be more than a No.8/9 Dman for us. He's only in the lineup because EJ is out.The Wild won the trade. Pateryn is one of the worst defenceman in the NHL.

Those are contradicting statementsPateryn was never going to be more than a No.8/9 Dman for us. He's only in the lineup because EJ is out.
No they are not. Those are contradicting statements
don't listen to this guy GMs, Pateryn is awesome and would be a steal to pick up off of waivers todayThe Wild won the trade. Pateryn is one of the worst defenceman in the NHL.
Situational play. Pateryn has looked great on the PK and EJ is their only other good right handed PK’er. So while Pateryn Is 8th/9th on the Avs depth chart, he’ll still slot in and play heavy PK minutes when EJ goes down. Those are contradicting statements

Cole played 20 mins a night first year and 18 mins second year as an av.Nah. If Cole is in your top 4, you’ve got a bad defense. He’s a fine 6/7 though assuming you’ve got the cap space for him.
I don't mind if Pateryn doesn't get claimed. Not the worst 8/9th Dman to have, and he only costs $1,175,000 against the cap when on the taxi squad/AHL.don't listen to this guy GMs, Pateryn is awesome and would be a steal to pick up off of waivers today
Bednar really can't say no to vets. Sakic doing a gj coaching this team.Kind of sad they had to trade him just to prevent the coach from playing him.
