Martin got him with a few huge hits but the visor saved him. Went downhill once Martin was fully exposed without the bucket. Think his helmet cut his ear up when it got knocked off and he seemed done right after that. No defense at all and got KOd quickly.

I don't think so.. watch the replay. Not sure how he cut behind Martin's ear with a punch that hit his helmet. It was the helmet that did the damage. Martin was a sitting duck once that happened. Fight was pretty even before then. Like I said, Martin got a few blows to the visor. It's like having a handicap while fighting.

No one is questioning how tough Matt Martin is. One of the best in the league when the mitts are dropped. Bob Probert lost fights, Tie Domi lost fights, Derek Boogaard losst fights. Let's just agree that Mcquaid won the bout. The visor is irrelevant. If Mcquaid gets his butt whooped I'd say the same thing. The fact that these guys fight bare-knuckled on 1/8" steel in front of thousands of people is a testament to courage in andof itself.
