I think there may be other culprits besides Torts.
Yeah like Domi?
He was legit awful last year.

Remember what Torts said. That after PLD left, he lost control of the locker room.Or was it the room? Torts isn’t the only person who isn’t here anymore.

Btw, it`s interesting why Atkinson was traded. If it is just because the team needed a left hand playmaker. I'm just asking.
I was right there with you until that price tag at the end. When Domi is on I think he is certainly worth that amount. He is a player that we need. But how do we know which Domi we are going to get year to year? It seems to me that that uncertainty needs to be priced into the deal.
Most of us are thinking it, so I'm just going to say it. Was Torts the problem with Domi last year?
Last year shouldn't even be considered. To borrow from Torts, we've lit a match to the tape already. It's done. We're moving on.Most of us are thinking it, so I'm just going to say it. Was Torts the problem with Domi last year?
Thats fair. Just thinking of the player himself, who will likely need to be paid handsomely in order to not reach UFA. He can probably get that price tag on the market, maybe even more.
Seeing as Torts wanted out also, it may go higher up. Probably has something to do with bringing JD back. I will agree with last year being weird, but there was something else going on.I meant it more generally than specifically to Domi. I think anything that works this year and didn’t work last year will be blamed on Torts. I think there may be other culprits besides Torts. Plus it was a weird year generally last year.

Jarmo will snatch a 1st+2nd for him on deadline if he continues to play like this.
Zero chance he gets re-signed during the season imo. They already tried to trade him. Even if Jarmo would change his mind, I doubt Domi wants to go through another rebuild after playing 10 playoff games in 6 years.

I don`t understand why we should always trade players. Only for youngs? And then again and again? We have very good players, if they show their potential I don`t see any reason to trade them. It isn`t team building.Jarmo will snatch a 1st+2nd for him on deadline if he continues to play like this.

You're thinking this river of shit had one central source, but really it was more of a confluence of shit from several streams. This has been investigated to death, we'd know if there was some central source.

Signing a pending UFA after a career year is a guaranteed recipe for an absolutely terrible contract. That is not the kind of building I want to see during a rebuild. If youre a good playoff team, sure, but this is not the case here.I don`t understand why we should always trade players. Only for youngs? And then again and again?
